Hump didn’t do well on his return last year.

Do we need a medically cleared aged guard trying to regain his pre injury status one year removed from an ACL injury?
To answer simply, Yes. We need all the help we can get. Especially from someone who already knows the system. I'm not ready to count on a 2nd year player to anchor the line at guard.

Such a disheartening statement. Hopefully drew understands that if the Cardinals dink and dunk their way to 8-9 wins again this season and miss the playoffs with one of the easiest schedules in the NFL that he will likely be looking for another job next year.

Especially with the revamped defense who should create more opportunities and allow you to play aggressively- we should be taking shots down the field and open up this pedestrian passing attack (that possesses elite level pass catchers which is the most infuriating part!!!). Sure it's fine to slow grind bad teams like the jets and bears- but when we needed to turn it on last year against GOOD teams like the Vikings, lions, rams, Seahawks etc we fell flat on our face and the passing game looked awful.

If drew thinks the offensive playcalling he has presented the last two years is acceptable at a playoff caliber level- he needs to wake up
IMO its a matter of interpretation...he basically said his version of "The system works" and that "The players need to get better"
if the players get better the splash plays will come organically.

is he full of crap?? Maybe

How we feeling about Garrett playing on the boundary more which means DMD/Rabbit gets on the field more in the slot?
Rabbit has the makings of an exciting player... Williams does too and may have talents we have not unveiled just yet.
I think testing Williams on the boundary is a good thing...if he can progress to being an outside corner it will take a lot of pressure off the defense...and generally slot is an easier position to fill. It looks like we may have a few guys that JG/Rallis are attempting to hybridize as slot/S... or nickle/dime backs...been seeing it mentioned often in press releases.
we have a crap ton of young DB's at the moment and it may take creativity to get our "Best" 5 or 6 on the field...but the first step is uncovering their capabilities

Bring on the competition

Hopefully it hones their game and the team gets better players

Lovely is interesting. He’s been timed at 4.35 and had a great Pro Day for WMU. He did not get a Combine invite. Based on his Pro Day he was considered as a possible 7th round selection. He has good hands and can get his share of interceptions. He plays with enthusiasm. It’s hard to see him making the 53, but maybe he could hit the Practice Squad. He’s a project, but not an unrealistic one.

Ok with K1 trying tough passes/fitting the ball into tough spots in camp.
However, last two days was just really bad interceptions.

That’s just not saying the player underneath as he tries to feather it in.

in obvious "X and long" situations,...hell we could move Budda to linebacker...use 4 linemen,..and have 7 defensive backs on the field at once...it would seriously boost our team speed. similar to a prevent sans the umbrella coverages

I made it known that I’m out on Kyler midway through last season

But are you guys really gonna dissect every Kyler throw in….training camp? lol
