Am I the only one who finds it incredibly lame that we have training camp in our stadium? Are we the only team that does this?
You’re not the only one. I think a handful of teams do it but I think because of the heat factor, it’s makes it more lame for our fans. Nobody is going to go out of their way to watch AZ training camp in Glendale. We used to make the trip every year to Flagstaff but not anymore

Why this surprising player is key to Cardinals' offensive success

Those two have drawn the attention of edge rusher Josh Sweat, who signed from Philadelphia in the offseason and knows what elite offensive line play looks like. After the Cardinals’ first high-tempo day of practice, he approached head coach Jonathan Gannon and said, “We got some good tackles, huh?”

It makes sense that Adams would be more developed as a run blocker. He entered the NFL with less high-level experience than most prospects, having grown up in Canada and only played two years of Division I football after a junior college stint. He also played in a run-heavy offense during those two seasons at Illinois.

So far in training camp, Adams has earned rave reviews.

Of all the bad decisions the Bidwills have made, ruining the Flag training camp is right near the top for me. How sweet would it be to enjoy those practices again up in the pines?
Absolutely I used to do a 5-10 day trip for it every single year from Vegas.

Some of my favorite memories growing up were on those fields, getting autographs, chopping it up with the players. People today would never understand that level of access. Guys were getting tackled right in front of you!

Hopefully it's Zay Jones and we have some flexibility on who plays in the slot. Here's what the DVOA annual said about Greg Dortch:

The fantasy hype of last offseason faded into reality very quickly for Dortch, as the much-lauded sleeper revealed himself to be a mediocre complementary slot guy. It’s easy to see the dream with Dortch, who is shifty once he gets the ball in his hands. He was one of a handful of receivers to actually have positive value on wide receiver screens in 2024, catching 10 of them for a 24.5% DVOA and 23 DYAR on the league’s least valuable route. It just kind of turns out that that’s all he’s good at; his DVOA drops to -13.7% if you exclude passes behind the line of scrimmage and to -40.7% if you look at passes that travel more than 5 yards in the air, third worst in the league. Being a Useful Screen Guy has its advantages, but there’s a limit to how productive that can be.

Of course, DVOA's analysis of Zay Jones was fairly bleak:

Jones was targeted just 11 times despite running 157 routes. That 7.0% target rate was the lowest among wideouts with at least 150 routes run, so the most work for the fewest results in the league. He did put up a positive DVOA for the first time since 2021, so that’s something, but Arizona bringing him back does scream more about desperation than anything else. He’ll continue to fight Greg Dortch for the third wideout position, but Jones is a role player without a role at this point.

Yeah, I went to Flag the year we went to the Super Bowl. (of course, I didn't know it). I got a bunch of signatures on my football: Warner, Fitzgerald, Boldin, James, Dansby, Dockett, Wilson, and a few more.

its just me, screaming into the void about quality WR talent for this offense. Its one thing if the top two are, lets say, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.............. with good health, you can survive with Zay and Greg being your 3 and 4.

But its a lot to ask of MHJ and especially Mike Willy.

I think it’s the other way. The drop from MWilly to Zay Jones is like walking into a sunken living room.
