How is this still at 92% on RT, down just 4%, especially with all the Snyder fan boys destroying it. The average everywhere else is about 79. As soon as the ticket sale start to die down, they will unsurpress the bad reviews and be in the high 70s to low 80s. This scorebaiting is out of control.

It’s stupid. What kind of person wastes their time trying to game the movie scores?

Read a bunch of crying butthurt Snyderverse fans on social media whining about this movie before it opened and then using the hashtag #walletsclosed like they were calling for a boycott if you were a Henry Cavill/Zach Snyder fan. Ooh. You're so butthurt that you have been telling people you'll never watch it, but now you're trying to turn it into a movement. Way to boycott something you already said you weren't going to go and see.

I don’t get the Snyderverse obsession crowd. It’s over. I agree with many of the HC takes but the Snyderverse is not coming back.

This movie had James Gunn stamped all over it.... and that's a major reason I really liked it. To me, this is the best Superman movie since Superman 2 with Christopher Reeve. Is it perfect? Nah, but the humor, action, tremendous bad guy (Luthor) and a Superman that is NOT all-powerful, well...... who gives a flying fornication if it's not "perfect" (whatever that might be). And I'm sorry..... the video Stout posted above doesn't seem to "get" a lot of it all, including Krypto, who was an absolute hoot throughout (there was a lot of out loud laughter in the theater during the dog's sequences, me included). The other good guys were funny and helped support the "Superman is not all-powerful" storyline. The whole thing exudes "this is just a comic book movie, guys...... enjoy it!"

I'd love to know the real story about how they came up with the name "Gary" for Number 4.

Anyway, this was an easy 4.75 out of 5 in it's genre. Great fun, great effects, although the theater popcorn was lousy.... (Picture Show Theaters, Prescott)

P.S. As I predicted earlier, not everyone is going to love it, as shown in this thread. That's okay, too. I just know that me and my hard to impress bride had an outstanding afternoon watching it.

P.P.S. I can see where someone who wasn't up to speed on all the Superman lore might have a hard time with the movie. I had fully briefed the bride before we went and am darned glad that I did.

I had fun/enjoyed the movie, but I do think some of the complaints in the video were valid. I wasn’t crazy about how early Supes got fridged and even though I thought the chemistry between Supes and Lois was off the charts, there was a movie set up in the first 20 minutes that I thought had the makings of an all-time reimagining of the character/Lois relationship. But that kinda got fridged when Supes did/set aside by the Justice Gang and other characters.

I think that’s what held the movie back from great and made it just good, for me. And the justice gang was fun so I was okay with that, but think there might have been a better movie in there with less characters and more focus just on the leads. I mean… there’s only like 5 minutes of Clark Kent in the movie.

As for Krypto, I had major misgivings with Krypto from the trailer, but he was pretty funny and I kinda loved the reveal with him at the end.

I don't trust RT these days. They are removing reviews

I am guessing this is where I am going to fall.

Lol… or maybe you’re just wrong about a movie you seem convinced to be about right about… despite never having seen it.

155 million bucks domestic in 5 days… 12 million on Monday and a jump to 17 million on Tuesday. Could it be the majority of people seeing Superman actually just… GASP… like the movie?

Well I believe the majority of people like the movie and right now I think I will like it too. It won't be perfect but still be good.

I am skeptical of the RT rating compared to other sites and feedback from friends.

We also know RT has been doing this for Disney

My writer buddy does short YouTube videos and nailed it with his review of Supes:

Has he done anything we would know?

Maybe not. He's a rather successful self-published author who is getting close to being able to give up the day job. He writes dark, horror, thriller, supernatural, etc. He's an excellent writer. Here's his website:

The rooting for this movie to fail is hilarious. People are legitimately mad that people like this
I want to be clear, I am not rooting for it to fail! I love JG, I just want RT to stop gaming the system for their own profit. Nothing wrong with let's real reviews and scores be known. I'm seeing it this weekend and I'm excited to see it. I honestly trust folks in here than anywhere else.

Who is doing that? You talking about people on RT because the vast majority of people I see wanting this to fail are Snyderverse fans who can't accept that run is over.
