WORCESTER — With the Boston Red Sox returning to relevancy (and then some) amidst a 13-game win streak, their Triple-A affiliate returns home this week.
After having four days off for the All-Star break and then playing three games on the road against Scranton/WB, the WooSox begin a six-game set with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Tuesday at Polar Park.
While Worcester isn't streaking like Boston, the AAA club will welcome its former manager (the current interim manager of the Bosotn Red Sox) back to Worcester on Thursday for the WooSox Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Chad Tracy, along with WooSox president Dr. Charles Steinberg, the late Mark Fidrych (a Northborough native who was the American League Rookie of the Year 50 years ago) and the late Gene Zabinski (a Worcester civic leader who helped woo the WooSox to Worcester) make up the 2026 class of the WooSox Hall of Fame.
The WooSox will face the Jumbo Shrimp on Thursday for a 12:05 p.m. game and then will host the induction ceremony postgame. Fans are invited to watch (for free) from the seating bowl on the first-base side with the ceremony starting at 6 p.m. — it will also be televised live on NESN for one hour.
Worcester will also honor their Pawtucket roots by wearing Pawtucket Hot Wieners uniforms Saturday on PawSox Heritage Day.
Here's the full schedule of what's on tap for the upcoming WooSox homestand:
Tuesday (6:45 p.m.): Taco & Tequila Tuesday, presented by Teremana; Tail Waggin’ Tuesday (fans can bring their dogs); AARP Ticket Tuesday; Sturbridge Town Takeover, presented by Old Sturbridge Village; and Westminster Town Takeover.
Wednesday (6:45 p.m.): First Responder Wednesday, presented by National Grid, when first responders receive four free general admission tickets; Battle of the Boroughs Town Takeover (Northborough, Southborough, Marlborough, Westborough); Hardwick & New Braintree Town Takeover, presented by Rodenhiser.
Thursday (12:05 p.m.): AbbVie STEM Day; Postgame Player Meet & Greet in DCU Club, presented by DCU; WooSox Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Class of 2026 from 6-7 p.m. on the field at Polar Park. Fans are invited to attend at no cost and sit in the Polar Park seating bowl. Ceremony will be televised live on NESN and on NASH 98.9 FM.
Friday (6:45 p.m.): Pirates, Princes, & Princesses Night; Indian Heritage Night; UniBank Fireworks to the music of Disney Favorites.
Saturday (4:05 p.m.): WooSox Free Youth Clinic from 10-11 a.m., presented by Rob Levine Law (ages 7-14 with registration required); Larry Lucchino Writers Series featuring Melissa Ludtke in DCU Club from 12:30– 2 p.m.; PawSox Heritage Day with WooSox wearing former PawSox Alternate Identity Uniforms of Pawtucket Hot Wieners; Bark in the Park, presented by Veterinary Urgent Care of Worcester; Sunset Catch on the Field (postgame, weather permitting); and Scout Sleepover, presented by Convenient MD (also postgame and weather permitting).
Sunday (1:05 p.m.): Home Run for Life, presented by UMASS Memorial Children’s Medical Center; Kids (of all ages) Run the Bases postgame.
