I think Oso sucks and will be gone this season if the new comers show out and we keep Richards (which is what i've been begging the team to do). He's a fp with now range or a center out is too small. If not he'll be done after this season, stinks because he is a local talent but that's not a reason to keep him.
Oso doesn't suck. His shooting sucks but he's an otherwise fundamentally sound basketball player with some nice athleticism.

Seeing the moves other teams are making and the Suns apparently unable to move on or even remotely upgrade from ANY combo of Beal, Allen, or O'Neale, has me wondering if we won't be one of the two or three worst teams in the entire league next year. It appears once again we will have neither a legitimate starting PG or PF.

Okay but he has no position on an nba team unless he has an outside shot. He's too small for center despite having athleticism.

Oso's outside shot just needs a little work. :)

If the Suns were counting on Beal, Allen and O'Neale I would be thinking the same thing, but they seem to be changing direction.

I like Collin Gillespie and the Suns will likely add another point guard.

We shouldn’t waste too much time worrying about fit on a borderline play-in team but I agree that Dunn at PF isn’t good for his development. He’s a true 3&D wing. Neither is Brooks but his development doesn’t really matter. Sucks we couldn’t get Jabari.

Don't forget, the Suns rookie introductory press conference is only a few minutes away at 3 PM.

Okay thought about it a bit more before conceding, he does suck. We were such a bad team last year, usually a player can inflate their stats on a bad team but Oso just did not, even just glancing at his per 36 other advanced stats. Even on a bad team he was bad.

Jordan Ott, Collin Gillespie, Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro are all in attendance at the rookie presser.

My thinking, why move up to #41 if there is unlikely to be a starter there.

This is not to say Brea may not turn out to be a great selection, but my thought is the Suns might be hoping someone else would be there. Maybe it all works out for the best.

I, too, thought Fleming was a first round pick.
Anybody thinking there’s a starter available at 41 is likely delusional as an nba gm. Are there diamonds in the rough discovered every now and again? Of course. But thinking there’s a starter there? I know I certainly hope that was NOT the case with our front office.

The problem is they can't seem to be able to get rid of any of those guys. And furthermore, as each day passes, they seem increasingly resigned to bringing all of them back, which means A) they will all likely be in the rotation, and B) no money or roster spots for positions/roles we desperately need to fill.

Love it, however, it raises more questions about why Brea didn't get a guaranteed deal.
I think it reflects how much they believe in each player.

I understand - Fleming does not appear to have any real weaknesses, he has all the physical qualities you want and he can play some D, shoot, and go to the bucket.

Brea really is only a shooter, and is bad on D.

Oh my goodness. Its like he is trying to make that shot horrible. How is it possible to have a shot that looks that bad? It can't be real. If it is, just cut him now. There is no hope.
If that is still how he is shooting, we should just cut him now and get it over with. That shot will never work well. That makes Marion's shot look beautiful.

I don't think we will be that bad, mainly because of Booker. But we could be especially if he is out many games with injury.

sigh... I ALREADY AGREED THAT PAUL CAME BECAUSE OF BOOKER.

Booker came first. But winning only came when CP3 came to the team and brought them all together. That wasn't magic.

And when CP3 fell off a cliff/left the team, the team fell apart, despite still having Booker. So again, what you call "magic" I call CP3, and I credit him with that because he brought "magic" to every team he ever played on together. Booker has never shown he can be the centerpiece that brings a roster together, thus I don't expect "magic" to happen this year, that makes us winners with a mishmash roster like this.

Because we gutted the franchise trading for Durant.

Booker can't do much about his front office making a monumentally terrible trade.
