I'm not sure trading Green is the answer.
Fit him in the rotation where it works best and go from there. If he walks when he can, then fine. If he works within the system and wants to stay, sign him to something reasonable. If he won't do that, well, we won't be in as much cap hell as before. If someone wants to trade for him, look at the offer. We can't operate out of fear.

Yup. He'd be best coming off the bench to spell Book. We only need them playing together in specific matchups.

Green may or may not fit. We really don't know. If it's not working out at the trade deadline then look for a trade.

Green is only 24, Booker is coming up on 30. Green seems to get along great with the team, he's athletic, can score and hit big shots. Ideally, he will fit nicely, sign a long-term contract and slide into the guard spot as Booker declines.

Being smart is a good option too.

I've mused about this option as we keep accumulating young players.

Jalen Green will have a a player option for the 2026-27 season.

Bringing him off the bench is not going to help the contract situation one bit. This must be factored into the equation.

We would be lucky if he declined that option. His contract is underwater.
