We went into 2022 with arguably a top 12 WR core (DHop, AJ Green, Hollywood Brown).

2023 (H. Brown, rookie M Wilson, R. Moore) is pretty dire.

I will say there’s a little pressure on Rallis/Gannon with all the new defensive pieces. Should expect a big jump defensively. If not, that would be concerning & I really hope Gannon doesn’t go back to the vanilla playcalling back when he was in Philly where he had elite talent to somewhat offset that for the most part. Dial it back a little, but stay with the exotic looks.

As a #3 WR you're probably/maybe right but I'd rather have 2022 AJ Green than Greg Dortch as our #3/Sacrificial X WR.

I know people thought Kliff sucked and was done with him, but that offense still finished 21st in scoring, 22nd in yardage, and 18th in passing yardage.

David Blough started two games in 2022.

His "pace" being 972 is because we're counting the GB game as a full game when he didn't play the full game. I had to google it to remind me, he had missed practice all week with a hammy, then he caught a 61 yard td in the first quarter but pulled up lame. Sat 2 quarters and then twice subbed himself in during the 4th until they took his helmet away.

So his pace was for a full game but he only played 1 quarter in that game. if he had 1 more catch for 20 yards in that game his pace for the year is 1006

I'm not saying he was going to get 66 yards per quarter but if he hadn't been hurt, he would likely have gotten more yards in that game and had a 1000 yard pace.

and then Hop gets suspended for the first six games

then Hollywood gets injured the week Hop comes back

at the end, I think there were only 4 games where they were both active at the same time

I totally agree. Based on memory alone, I do think Rallis got more aggressive with blitzes and different looks as last season progressed. IMO, that was because he gained more confidence in our young CBs as the season went on.

To me, the most glaring problem on the defense that NEVER got better was we couldn't shut down the run without Budda trying to missile himself through a gap at least half the time. And, that burned us with big runs more than once. Everyone is focused on more pass rush, which is obvious. But I think it's just as big that our front stuffs the run a lot better so Budda doesn't have to play hero ball as much.

The 2025 Arizona Cardinals roster is stacked with young and exciting faces that should make the upcoming training camp an absolute blast to enjoy.

For myself this statement sums up my feelings for camp this year. Instead of “young” I would say “new and exciting faces”.

Yeah Budda doesn't need to lead the league in tackles again. That's something to watch.
