It's finally here everybody!

Opening day game

This is a touch game without all of our injuries. But with them it looks bleak

I see the offense making some big plays

But unable to sustain long drives due to being rusty, having backups on the Oline and poor play calling

The D is lacking quality CB's and has always tackled poorly up to now

I don't expect us to play a mistake free game

Go Cardinals!

As little hope as I have, I'll be there rooting and screaming my head off at the TV. On a tape delay, but still.

I had very little hope last year in week 1 and got happily shocked. Maybe same thing happens today?

That’s really all I got. And my entire opening weekend plan to watch got sideswiped by a number of different calamities which will leave me watching opening week by myself. That ain’t helping my lack of excitement.

Steve Keim really let Reddick go for a broken down JJ Watt lmao

It’s sad because everyone else could see it was a mistake but him.
It was such a mind numbing decision in the moment.

When JJ Watt plays - He's the best players on defense. So fun to watch etc etc

When he misses a game - Joke signing. Keim sucks.

He's got a slight calf strain that he would play on if it was week 15. But as its week 1 it makes no sense to risk it.

Best ability is availability. Today he is useless.

Yeah the injuries of course suck especially JJ, but excited to see Kyler to Hollywood and how well Simmons matches up with Kelce. Surprise upsets can happen especially week 1, expecting the worst hoping for the best.

I’m with you. Bummed he isn’t playing today but don’t risk it rushing him back. Same goes for Rondale.

It just sucks that the oft-injured guys are already injured before they’ve even taken a snap on the season. That just doesn’t bode well for their availability as the season and their bodies wear on.

Week 1 is definitely rife with a couple big shockers every season.
Well this would be a shocker for sure.

I ended up betting on the Chiefs, and I never bet against the Cards.

I have rarely ever felt so sure of an outcome pregame.

Really hoping we come out hot and they come out rusty. Can we win a game 34 to 33? Yes we can. Will we? Probably not.

Kelce and Juju are going to feast this week. But what I really want to see is some stout run defense. We have to make them one dimensional or we are screwed.

I fully recognize the best ability is availability. That said Watt is a true impact player. If he only plays half of the games he changes the defenses ability to win those games. That’s more than most players. I don’t think the Cards have enough other talent to win enough to get to the playoffs but signing Watt isn’t what will hold them back.
