Uh oh, you didn't tell everyone it's a Mitch article...lol

No issues with Cambell as HC...but KK would be 1 and done as OC, if successful...so you'd need to have a QB coach of the same mould and play calling ability, ready to take over in 2020.

PS: I don't see Bowles coming back as DC, if the HC is wet behind the ears...unless Bowles has given up on being a HC again...JMO. Wade Phillips is in his 70s and is content as DC, so McVay can just hand him the defensive reins without concern, or looking over his shoulder.

Bowles was a coach in Dallas while Campbell was playing and both coached together in Miami, so hopefully they have a good relationship.

My point is would he have a handle on these situations. My experience is the OC always wants to go for it and the DC always says we can stop them and get the ball back. I’m not sure early on he’s got the experience for knowing which way to go. Unit evaluation based on practice is notoriously unreliable. I know the guy I proposed doesn’t have that experience but Taylor brings a deep understanding of one side of the ball. He can get commitment at line level.

The guy has been playing the game since adolescence; played and coached at the highest level and, no doubt, observed some of the best at the craft. Somehow, I think that he can work this out.

He made Ryan Fitzpatrick look like a league MVP for long stretches

I doubt that he would want to come back to Arizona. I also don't think MB would be interested in him. But who knows.

People have quit their jobs to work for Head Coach Dan Campbell. When he looks you in the eye and shakes your hand, you feel compelled to ask, "What can I do to help you?" and you discover capacities you never knew you had.

Out of sight, out of mind.

If Bowles wants another crack as a H-C, he can't sit on his laurels because there's little there at the H-C level.

(My sense (guess) is that Vic Fangio will be a later addition to the H-C search and his D-C gig in Chicago will be much coveted. This could be a landing spot for Bowles)

When did Fitz look like the MVP for long stretches? He had two incredible games to start the season and one game for the rest of the season with a QB-rating over 90. That’s who he’s always been. Jameis is an above-average QB but has he ever taken the next step? (granted he’s an emotional mess). Anyways my original point was personality and ability to connect with a different type of kid in Josh.

Not mine, I have nothing but admiration for the man and his family. They treated my son and I like we were family. I don't know the whole story, Todd Haley tends to rub people the wrong way, so I'll give Q the benefit of the doubt.
