Suns @ Mavericks game thread 4-10-18: Season Finale

Finally Suns fans can look forward to a game without worrying about the lottery implications with their first round pick. It's an awesome feeling after a long hard season of losing.

Tuesday the Suns close out the season at the Mavericks with the game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Arizona time.

Forgive me for putting up the thread a bit early but my internet feed has really been shaky.

The off season should be lots of fun.

Really hope we get to see a good game with Booker and Jackson both playing. I'd be fine if others missed the game, like Payton and Len, but I really hope Booker makes it back so we can end the season on a high note.

Chandler has been shut down for the season and both Warren and Booker have already been ruled out for this game. I just hope to see Jackson and Chriss play as that would make the game far more watchable.

Yeah... I get all that, but I suspect every one of those guys is healthy enough to play. I think it would be funny if we showed how shamelessly we tanked... if not for that the league would probably punish us somehow.

I'm not so sure they aren't legitimately injured. Booker is a major competitor and thus if he could go he certainly would have (especially against the Warriors and Rockets). Jackson and Chriss may very well have played otherwise, but it's not like we were winning with them anyways (we were playing some very close games though).

Yeah that seems WAY fishy. Bring a couple players back maybe but let's not get cute now.

Just flush this game...who cares. This team might look radically different next season so I'm not feeling too attached to this squad.

if we weren't tanking, there's no doubt Booker would be playing, same with Chriss and Jackson.

Booker's hand is supposedly... what... sore? There has never been an indication there is anything structurally wrong with it. Outside of "tanking" I cannot even recall why Chandler isn't playing at this point.

Obviously I was being facetious when pondering all those guys playing, but IMO if not for tanking most of these guys would have only missed a scattered game or 2... and some probably not missing any time at all. It is pretty rare for guys to miss 20-30 games in a row for "soreness"... and to not even get an MRI to see what the "soreness" is caused by.

I agree. We aren't seeing any major injuries occur on the court but the injuries we are hearing about seem suspect and almost trivial.

I think the Booker wrist injury is legitimate but how much time has he had off? Just seems more precautionary keeping him out at this point. At least I hope that is the case.

I think it's the case for Warren with his tendonitis and perhaps even for Payton but I'm confident that Devin would be out there if he could. It's not just the hand but his hip is still causing him problems.

That would be f'n hilarious but like you said I'd be afraid of the league on that.

Luckily the Suns do not have to worry about the outcome.

Man I really wanted this last game to be more watchable, but maybe (for the love of god) Bender will have a very good game to close the season.
