If the Suns can get and stay healthy, find a rotation power forward and Jalen Green returns, the Suns can compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
If Jalen Green can just come back I actually think they can compete for a playoff spot. They find a rotation PF, they might even surprise someone in the 1st round!

Jalen Green would take a huge load off of Devin Booker. Then, add in Allen and the rest of the crew, this team could cook.

They have the shooting and the defense, but some nights they are going to have to bang inside.

The Suns have their PF already, in Flemming. Just have to get him some more practice, weights, etc. In mop up time against Clippers he had a minute where he scored 5 straight points for the Suns and you could glimpse the player he is going to be. He had another block from behind on a guy at the rim again. Flemming does seem to know how to use that long wing span on defense. Just have to bring him along.

I dunno… they’re so heavily dependent on making 3’s, which they’ve been doing exceedingly well over this recent run. But can they carry this all the way thru the entire season? I’d say the odds are against that and that they’ll cool off at some point. I believe they’re top-5 at the moment in 3P%… would it surprise us if, come mid-Jan, they’re outside the top-10?

They are getting so many wide open 3s, they aren't just taking contested ones. Open 3s can be sustainable. Obviously an off night every now and then will happen but with the volume they are shooting it might not be terrible. I can't remember the last time we've seen so many guys wide open from 3, maybe first year CP3? 7SOL?

Last few years it’s been the other teams that are getting all these wide open threes against us

Fleming is spelled with one M, isn't it. Or am I just making a fool of myself.

I think they can carry this. They will have off nights, but the ball is just flowing in this offense and most of their threes are wide open. That opens up the middle as well.

As long as Williams is healthy.

Here's the main point...Do you believe the Suns are better than the Jazz, Pelicans, Mavs, Grizzlies, Clippers, Kings? If so, then that would be a playoff team.

i still don't know what we are - learning a lot about ott tho - mr find something successful and not be afraid to build on it

i don't want to jinx nuthin but this guy looks like a diabolical genius - literally looks diabolical - and is literally making this once considered lackluster roster look like the real deal holyfield

wiiliams and dtv have been great but they've been great in well prescribed doses - the og remaining suns should sue vogel for personal damages because ott's made it clear - grayson is still the second best 3 point shooter in the league and oneale isn't far behind

the defense and the ball movement and the team rebounding - williams doesn't need to rebound he just needs to occupy the center and let one of his fellow teammates get the board - that's coaching

the ball movement making book the focal point while opening up the 3... that's coaching - you don't see that in pick up games - and the defense changes from game to game - from opponent to opponent - taylor freakin made and nick richards is getting better - that's coaching

if there was a mount sunsmoore it would definitely have nash barkley and book on it but who would be the coach? or should we ott not ask that just yet

I didn't think there was a chance in heck. Not even for a play in. However, like you said if Green can contribute and be healthy? It might be possible.

This stretch of weak teams is exactly what the doctor ordered. It has given this team a chance to develop chemistry. We will see if it continues against better teams. I think they are going to be competitive most nights because of the offense. But there will be games where the threes just arent falling, and in those they will lose big.
