Still no announcement on this? It’s a bummer Vasso said no. Weird that he would turn down a promotion. I wonder if the Texans offered him more money than us just to stay? If so that’s a testament to how cheap MB is.

Cheap? He is OK with paying for 3 coaches at once. Not cheap, just misguided.

He may not be as cheap as he’s made out to be on this board, but he’s still cheap.

We paid JG like 5 mil a year…A contract around 25 million over 5 years. He let Sean Payton walk out the door to get 85-90 million over 5 years from the Broncos, and they gave up a 1st & 2nd rd pick to get him.

The narrative is definitely out there - from making players pay for their own meals to being one of the few NFL teams that don’t have a president assisting the owner and GM.

And the joke franchise continues. It's really nice to know we have our staff fully assembled so the team can come together, have time to get to know one another and work closely with the GM and scouting staff to ensure a solid FA strategy that dovetails with the draft.

Oh wait...

freaking idiots.

What difference does it make, as long as most of the coaches are on board by the end of this week? Better to be thorough and get the right people imo.

This - two things can be true at the same time...the Cardinals can be cheap AND misguided.

The evidence that the team is cheap is all over the place. If you follow this team closely and are unaware that they are cheap compared to others teams, you're really not paying attention.

The combine is like 2 weeks away and we don’t have coaches in place to tell the GM what they think they need to win.

I hate it here

If we had a track record of success as a franchise this would and should be the attitude.

Instead nothing this team or even the new FO has done deserves this type of unwavering faith. Come on brother there isn’t data point you can highlight that we should be giving the Cards the benefit of the doubt.

All I want for Christmas is a defense that can apply pressure with just the front 4.
That would require a coach that knows how to scheme. We havne’t had those for almost a decade.

It is truly disappointing to hear coaches say they new what was coming from our play callers then wonder why we get housed every week.

That's not how it's reading to me. It has human snail vibes and that's not good. We're already late and these discussions about FA and the draft (FA especially) have been happening already, so yeah, well behind the 8-ball.

I'm not sure how you think it works but it's not that.

What are the coaches going to tell the FO when they haven't worked with anyone on the roster yet?

Wouldn't think it matters. Scouts attend and turn in reports and MO and his staff match up the scouting reports with what the coaches want. Now, that's assuming our coaching staff is in place before the Draft.

Sean Payton was never coming here. We don't know what he was offered here but you can bet they beat it.
