NEW YORK – On a steaming hot Fourth of July in the Bronx, the Yankees will try to build some momentum off Friday night’s victory – snapping a seven-game losing streak.

Called up to replace Carlos Rodon (elbow inflammation) for Saturday afternoon’s start, righty Brendan Beck has pitched well lately and he’s “earned the right to be here,’’ said manager Aaron Boone.

Over his last six starts at Triple-A Scranton, Beck has posted a 1.03 ERA in 35 innings.

Though there’s “no real expectation’’ for how much Beck can give the Yanks today, Boone mentioned the potential to be “aggressive’’ with his bullpen strategy.

Boone cited the day game after a long night game and Jose Caballero having “played a ton’’ in starting Anthony Volpe at shortstop today.

In his second game back from the IL (hamstring strain), Trent Grisham is at DH, with Max Schuemann in center.

The original plan was for Grisham to have Saturday off, but the Twins switched to a righty starter in Zebby Matthews and Grisham homered in his return on Friday night.

Boone said there was “a lot of strong debate’’ about lefty-hitting outfielder Spencer Jones, who was ultimately optioned back to Triple-A to accommodate Beck.

Grisham’s presence and Schuemann’s “value off the bench and the ability to play a lot of positions’’ swayed that decision.
