Vegas, baby, yeah!
Looks like Hines Ward agrees with me on this one guys.
Check out Yahoo Home page, Theres an article "Hines Ward cares not for Bens brain". Basically he says Ben practiced all week and they needed him for the win and that he (Ward) has played thru concussions before and lied to doctors to do so.
So maybe hes classless too?????????????

Hines Ward may say that now. And when he's 50, slurs all of his words, has the brain function of a 90 year old, has lost all bowel control, is in consistant pain, and is pretty much out of it mentally, he'd probably change his mind.

Look, the old NFL way of playing through concussions has to stop. Ex players are killing themselves at 50. Many have severely impaired abilities, and can no longer function on their own. Players who advocate "toughen up and play" are just ignoring the long term effects to their body.

The little data that we do have regarding is disturbing - you can physically see (when they examine the brain after death) the physical damage caused - what should be a healthy light grey, is really a dark black. The damage is real and devastating.

No player should be derided for placing his long term health above a single or series of games.

http://http://sports.yahoo.com/fant...es-not-for-Big-Ben-s-brain?urn=fantasy,205547According to the article, Ward says, "The locker room is split 50/50 on this opinion. Looks like Im on the tough guy old school, win at all cost side and your on the New generation, if you have a little headache its not worth winning a game side.
I guess 50% of the Steelers are classless and stupid!

*sigh*

It has NOTHING to do with Warner not being "tough enough" to play through a "little headache" look at how many times Levi or Gandy let him get planted on his ass by a 300lb lineman and he keeps on playing. It has EVERYTHING to do with not wanting to risk getting another concussion which could end his season/career/life. I'd love to see your response if Warner played through it and had his career ended in the process.

You're just digging the hole deeper, might as well just leave it be.

Kurt Warner still can't see straight. Yet, somehow you believe he should be on the field?? You do realize football is a GAME, right?? What a joke.... :mulli:

Exactly. And this fool posts the same nitwiticm twice, the second time apparently to apologize only instead he repeats his point which he tries to say is "old school." Asking someone else to risk permanent head injury for your viewing pleasure is not old school, its just cowardly. Always has been.

Im not sayin Warner didnt receive a mild concussion, Im just sayin he didnt play thru it to help his team win, like most RB's do week in and week out. There I said it nicer, .......sorry im old school!
OK go ahead and fillet me for being insensitive! My wife already did!

Aside from it being more than mildly ******** to play start a QB who can't see straight, it would be epically stupid for someone suffering from blurred vision from a concussion to play a football game. Moronic. When it comes to this, toughness doesn't even enter the equation. Dumb is DUMB, and playing with blurred vision from a concussion is about as dumb as it comes.

Talking "old school" for the comfort of your living room is the ultimate in cheap talk!
