OK! First off Im Sorry! Second Im not 11 or 30, and maybe I posted too soon after the final, should've waited an hour or so. Im really not insensitive, just old school.
Let me just throw this out there if anyone still takes me serious.
How many hits in the head do you think Hightower took today?.....
Knees, helmets, ground? Do you think any of them were as bad as Warners?
Honestly!! ..... I mean he goes head first with everything he has on almost every play.
Im not sayin Warner didnt receive a mild concussion, Im just sayin he didnt play thru it to help his team win, like most RB's do week in and week out. There I said it nicer, .......sorry im old school!
OK go ahead and fillet me for being insensitive! My wife already did!
Running backs do not have concussions, if they did they would be pulled out of the game. Once you suffer a concussion you are more likely to suffer from them. The odds increase quite dramatically.
I don't know if anyone has heard Merril Hoge talk about his experience with concussions. He suffered many in his career and in his final game he literally died in the locker room after suffering from a concussion earlier in the game. Once he was resuscitated he didn't fully recover for 2 years. He couldn't even go around the block without getting lost.
There is a reason the NFL is getting hard on treating concussions. As I said earlier, I would rather lose every game than have any player die because of a concussion. This is life and death we are talking about, not some game.
By the way here is an article about Merril Hoge:

I meant that the running backs who are playing don't have them right now. If they did they would be on the sideline. I'm not saying they don't get them.
You dont "play through" concussions. You should have stopped at your apology and left it at that.
And just as stupid...but it sounds like he has an excuse: brain damage. So maybe hes classless too?????????????
Yep.I guess 50% of the Steelers are classless and stupid!
Yep.
I'd be curious to know how split the medical profession is on this. (hint, I'm being a little sarcastic: I'm not that curious -- you'd be hard-pressed to find a doctor that thinks someone should go out and play football while showing symptoms like blurred vision).
What were we talking about?
