Don't think so.

Adams is a virtual rookie who has been trying to master one position. You don't throw this curve at him and the team.

Hernandez had snaps at LG in NY.
But Hernandez has shown that he's a top notch right guard, while Adams is still a work in progress. But, while you may very well be correct, I'm confident that the coaches who see them everyday will make the correct call.

Meh...Brown looked worse than last year and Adams looked like a new starter. I thought the others played fine. It's game 1 and o-line doesn't get enough contact in the preseason and it was on the road in a loud venue. I saw enough clean pockets and runs that it was an ok performance. If it is similar play in week 9, I would view it differently.
and...outside of two good plays we averaged about 2.3 yards per carry in the run game.
less than impressive...I mentioned concern over the coaching loss last spring...now Im flat out worried.... this new guy looks way over his head

A new starting five? All 5 of them started games last season. But for injuries they all would’ve played together most of the season (with Adams being subbed in).

I mean I think this is the first time these five have all started together OZC? Possibly this group played together one or two games last year, but it couldn't have been much.

Imo offensive lines will improve (sometimes significantly) the more the same five guys start. So that's where I was going. That's the cope.

PFF run blocking grades for the Cardinals starting offensive line:

PJJ 55.8
Evan Brown 39.6
Froholdt 69.4
Isaiah Adams 43.1
Jonah Williams 40.2

Yowza.

Can you do pass-blocking too please when you have a free moment ASUChris? If it's not too much trouble sir?

Conner went 14 for 62 in Week 1 2023 vs a bad Commanders squad. It take some time.

That's not how averages work though.

The Cardinals as a team averaged 5.4 yards per carry.
no I understand that... just noticed that our guys were not getting their normal plodding 3.5 that they usually get...the basic play by play run we usually do better than we did in this game.
New Orleans may not be as scrub as many expect

we only have one offensive lineman worth keeping imo - one - that's it - uno - singular - we're talking the loneliest of numbers baby and monti has had 3 freakin years - mobile qb gets wrecked - pocket qb gets wrecked and were going through runningbacks like a teen does tissue

not to mention we downgraded big time with our o-line coach - everything seattle is doing they've done all year long - they're not pulling out the good stuff against us - they're not putting that on film

our playoffs were over 3 weeks ago so it's not that bad - draft pick is all that matters now - that and a freakin gm who knows what to do with it - monti gotta go - we gotta rebuild the offensive line for the bazillionth time - lol

petzing got his pocket qb and he can't protect him through play design or with an offensive line that's spent 2 years together

aside from paris johnson the line is pathetic - monti missed in free agency and missed in the draft when booker was gone - hernandez is not the hernandez he used to be

jonah checked out - thinks he's clever leaving a do not disturb sign on his door but williams has left the building

and im done with fro - please - when he knows he's going to get beat he acts like he doesn't even see the guy and i hate that - leaves our running back having to choose who to block - fro is not the smartest or the alpha - both of those are paris

im not even mentioning nobody else - i get we lost 2 blocking tight ends BUT THEY DON'T LINE UP IN THE MIDDLE - sorry

we drafted nothing but defense and signed nothing but defense and now we can't stop any defense in our division

fire monti - fire petzing - fire gannin - fire everybody associated with the o-line

MO didn't even really attempt to fix the O- Line, and basically ignored the offense completely. Smart guy.

He did with a bunch of young players and Jonah Williams returning. He was just extremely wrong about that which is even more damning.

monti ossenfort has repeatedly failed in giving his team a chance to compete against the ultra aggressive defenses we see 6 times a year in our division

he watched the same super bowl we did - he watched our division draft o-line in the first round again - the gm in seattle has been there since 2010 - geez - i wonder why - maybe because he drafts o-line 40% of the time in the first round - matter of fact...

it appears somebody understands you have to protect the king at all costs - meanwhile monti had the most lopsided free agency/draft ive ever seen knowing full well who jonah williams was - knowing full well hernandez wouldn't be who he was - and was still bought in on who fro was

to the fans who laughed at the importance of our blocking tight ends - this blunts for you - we don't win those first 2 games without them - they covered up monti's miserable mirepoix - they did the heavy protecting and led the way when we had an existent running game

And people wonder why Murray can't get settled behind the line - he knows what is coming.

Brissett stood tall because he hadn't faced a good d-line yet as a Cardinal. And he got demolished.
