So many things have to go right for the Suns to surpass last year's win total. I'd like to think they could do it, but everything would have to go perfect. Things in life generally do not go that way.

The Suns have a new coach, GM, a bunch of new players plus three rookies. Odds are they won't.

What the Suns have going for them is addition by subtraction (less Beal and Durant), hopefully better team chemistry and team basketball. They also should be much improved at center.

If the Suns weren't intent on a backcourt of Green and Booker, I could hope for a breakout season by Colin Gillespie, but that is likely wishful thinking.

I'd argue that KD's and Beal's superiority to other on an individual level did not translate into wins, so I think it's possible that both things are true- KD and Beal may be superior individual players, and Suns can win more games with less individual talent.
Maybe if we actually had those role players you could be right.

But if you think the rookies we added, the dude from Europe, and some players on the street are those guys - well lets just say I think you are incorrect.

The one hope is that the suns went 2 off seasons with Durant and Beal and almost to a person we thought they improved on paper only to get dramatically worse on the court.

I, obviously, think a lot of that had to do with the personalities on the team more than the ability of the players.

We certainly look worse on paper, but maybe we have better personalities… much better.

a) ton of new oieces

B) new coaching staff

C) LOT’s of young players

D) no point guard

I’m looking forward to this season, but not with expectations of winning.
A) like every year seems like
B) ditto
C) that's refreshing
D) it's one of those years... We've had good ones, we've had too many, but lately we've had none. Is CG12 athletic enough to be a factor offensively?

E) injuries happen. I bet Booker misses 15-20 games at least. Hope not but... It is not unlikely.

I also look forward to the season! Trying to keep expectations low for Dunn and Maluach. Maluach did not seem as explosive as I was hoping for. Hopefully it can be somewhat improved.

I think Flemming is better then Dunn. hope he gets some play time, do not expect much from the other rookies. Not sure about the guy from Europe but I believe the Suns are going to run and gun again. Jalen Green I'm afraid is the key to a good season

Look, I hate always being a negative nancy, and I wanted the Suns to draft Flemming badly - but he looked horrific in Summer League. To be honest he was so bad I have written him off from having any impact at all this season.

Koby looked promising to me and Dunn looks to take another step. The rest of the guys I wouldn't write off yet but they are likely not going to contribute a ton this season.

It's about point guard. I have a theoretical question. If you could choose any point guard in the league to add to this young team, who would it be?. Regardless of realistic possibilities. Any point guard presently playing.

My choice would be Jrue, I think.

I'd go younger with DeJounte Murray. He's a top level defender with good size. He's a little bigger than Jrue and could grow with this team.

Jrue of 2-3 years ago would be a great choice but he's pretty advanced in age and won't be able to grow with the youngsters. I think my pick would be Haliburton, even if it doesn't quite fit the mold of what Gregory and team are looking for.

There is really no perfect point guard for this team currently in the NBA. Because of that, you gotta go best available, and I like Haliburton, but I'd likely go Jalen Brunson instead.

I'd pick Shai Gilgeous-Alexander if dreams are free. Shai and Booker would be a devastating back court.

And they both could have been Suns players and Shai likely as well.

Brunson is a dirt worker. I like that about him.

I already told myself I'd bet on the over if it was set around 30. 32 wins for win is fair. It will add some interest to the season as a whole for me.
If I thought the target was only 2 above the over/under I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole. One Booker injury and that’s a loss.
