Considering he came off the bench in a altercation?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKsS-3j9sfg

People are speculating if Garnett should be suspended for pushing the ref but it will be very interesting to see if they suspend Perkins. I guess we will see if Stern really does have some sort of agenda.

KG pushed a ref?? What point in the video?

I've watched it 3 times and didn't notice.

Can we suspend Ray Allen and paul Pierced for being dbags as well?

I'd love to have ATL go up 3-2 and come home to close out gang green.

KG's bark is worse than his bite. He yells and stares and elbows guys on loose balls....then he shoots jumps as his teams have never won anything.

They have an out there...the ref is the one making contact with KG, and he's pushing him off. He won't go down on that rule alone.

And trust me, I deeply wish for him to be suspended. Just 'cause.

Found this interesting tidbit.

The reason why Horford was doing an extra bit of jawing...especially to Pierce was this reason:

During the closing the moments of Game Two, when things started to get heated and testy, Pierce popped off this statement:

"Ten stacks ($10,000) we sweep your ass!"

He was standing right in front of Horford when he said this. Horford replied:

"My heart dont pump kool-aid. I'mma be right here....and I aint going no where! It aint over!"

So tonight, when Horford was jawing, he was directing his words to Pierce saying:

"F--- you pay me! Don't be writing checks your ass can't cash!"

:biglaugh:

I love Horford/Johnson!

Nash/Diaw/Shaq for Horford/Johnson? :)

Yep but Perkins and Marvin both should be gone. :D

To be honest, I dont want to know if there are any suspensions or not. Because if there are none, I dont think I could bear that news.

No, they won't:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issue is not "stepping on the floor" but instead "leaving the bench area" which is the crux of the problem. If it were "stepping on the floor" it would be cut and dry, and thus non-arguable. However, there is an ambiguous "bench area" terminology thrown in there that is bs, IMO.

Seriously, it was a step out forward onto the floor (towards the fight though), and he was behind the coach. Not past him.

95 percent sure he will not be suspended.

That all applies to Perkins...I didn't see Marvin though. He could have come out of the grey area.

Perkins took about 3 small steps onto the court and the coach (who was sitting on the bench) had to come out and grab him and pull him back. Check the very beginning of the video.

This has to be ruled an altercation, correct? I know no one was ejected from the game, which makes me fear the NBA won't rule it an altercation therefore no suspensions will have to handed down.

Another question, in addition to KG making contact with a ref, isn't there a rule about blows above the shoulders, directed at other players heads? It appeared like KG threw an elbow towards the face of ZaZa right at the start.

I just watched it to see that...what I saw was he was standing on the court WELL before the altercation, and as it was happening he stood stone still until the coach pulled him back. He made zero move toward the jawing.

I'm now 99 percent sure he gets no suspension. Thanks a lot...now I go to bed with less hope than before.

Oh, it's totally an altercation.

He has to contact above the neck to get a flagrant foul, but it's VERY hard to get that upgraded to a suspendable foul...hell, Kidd jujitsued Pargo and didn't get suspended.

But yes, it's an altercation no doubt.

wtf

He wasnt on the court until the whistles started blowing. He was already up but he hadnt stepped foot onto the court until the whistles. Watch it again. I'm 100% sure of this. :lmao:

I think youre trying much too hard to convince yourself.

He clearly moving forward once the altercation has engaged. 100% still moving as the whistles sound.

Without a doubt.

This is obv what I thought also. However, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the NBA said it wasn't to avoid anything resembling what happened last year.
