BATON ROUGE, LA — South Carolina women's basketball will be without reserve forward Adhel Tac against LSU as she was listed as out on the SEC injury report.

Tac, a 6-foot-5 redshirt sophomore forward/center has missed one game already (Jan. 18 vs Coppin State) and will be out against No. 6 LSU (22-3, 8-3) on Feb. 14 (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC) at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

It's unclear why but Tac is wearing a boot on her left foot and is wearing sweatpants.

Sophomore reserve point guard Maddy McDaniel was also listed as out on the injury report marking the second straight game without McDaniel, who sat on the bench with a boot on her left ankle on Feb. 8.

The boot that Tac has on is different than McDaniel's was, with Tac's higher up her leg.

McDaniel is warming up in full uniform with no boot but can't play as she was listed officially as out.

Tac was in uniform on Feb. 8 vs Tennessee but didn't play. Tac hasn't played in games for the No. 3 Gamecocks (24-2, 10-1 SEC) before so it wasn't particularly unusual that coach Dawn Staley didn't sub her in.

Agot Makeer was not listed on the SEC injury report available on Feb. 13 or 14, which is good news for South Carolina.

Makeer hasn't played since the first quarter against Auburn on Jan. 29 for a unspecified lower leg injury. On Feb. 13 she was seen in the same practice gear as everyone else, shooting with Ayla McDowell as Staley addressed media.

The freshman is a key guard for Staley and her defensive presence was huge in the top-five win over Texas on Jan. 15.

She's long at 6-foot-1 and sees the floor really well, playing more mature than her age. She's averaging 6.2 points, 4.5 rebounds.

From Dec. 6-28, Makeer was in concussion protocol but returned right before SEC play. She started against Vanderbilt so Staley could bring Madina Okot off the bench and did again against Auburn before she left the game early in the first quarter.

In 17 games this season, Staley has started or finished a game down at least one player.

Starting senior guard Ta'Niya Latson also stopped playing in the first half of the Auburn game and missed the next two but returned in the win over Tennessee, playing with a large brace on her left knee. She had a team-high 21 points.
