Who should be the Nashville area's early season TSSAA baseball player of the year?
You get to decide.
We whittled down our list of top players in 2026 down to a select few candidates. Vote for your favorite choice in our poll below.
Voting closes March 20 at noon.
Kaden Powell, Beech, Sr.: Powell, a Kentucky signee, batted .440 last season with 51 hits, 15 home runs, 38 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. He went 4-3 on the mound with 74 strikeouts and one save in 44.2 innings.
Joey Ansell, Brentwood Academy, Sr.: Ansell, a left-handed pitcher signed with Kentucky, struck out 40 batters and held a 3.33 ERA.

Gunner Skelton, Columbia Academy, Sr.: Skelton, a Vanderbilt signee, was named DII-A Mr. Baseball last season after batting .438 with 31 RBIs, 14 doubles, five home runs and 30 stolen bases. He went 10-0 pitching with a .74 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 66 innings.
Eli Dickey, CPA, Sr.: Dickey, a right-handed pitcher committed to Jacksonville State, went 8-2 with 74 strikeouts, 18 walks and a .759 ERA.
Brody Gleason, Eagleville, Sr.: Gleason, a Columbia State signee, batted .311 with nine doubles, four home runs and 38 RBIs. On the mound, he went 12-0 with 82 strikeouts and seven walks.
Kason Young, East Robertson, Jr.: Young batted .443 with 47 hits, two triples, nine home runs, 35 RBIs, 54 runs scored and 30 stolen bases.
Carter Hullett, Ensworth, Jr.: Hullett, a Louisville commitment, batted .367 with seven doubles, seven home runs and 38 RBIs.
Jack Dugan, Lipscomb Academy, Sr.: Dugan, a Tennessee signee and DII-AA Mr. Baseball finalist batted .417 with 53 hits, 14 home runs, 42 RBIs, 54 runs scored and 30 stolen bases.
Casen Springer, Loretto, Sr.: Springer was the District 10-2A Pitcher of the Year last season after recording 41 strikeouts in 25 innings with a 0.56 ERA. He also batted .404 with 20 RBIs, 13 doubles, six triples and two home runs.
Evan McElvain, Nolensville, Sr.: McElvain, a Duke signee, batted .380 with 11 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 29 RBIs while playing catcher and third base.
Michael Holt, Ravenwood, Sr.: Holt, a Vanderbilt signee, batted .357 with 41 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, six home runs, 21 RBIs, 44 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.
Beckett Haselhuhn, Rossview, Jr.: Haselhuhn batted .445 with 61 hits, three home runs and 43 RBIs. He also went 8-2 on the mound with a 2.51 ERA and 96 strikeouts.
Stephen Bobo, Shelbyville, Jr.: Bobo, a Vanderbilt commitment, batted .534 with 55 hits, eight doubles, five home runs and 36 RBIs. On the mound, he went 6-3 with 66 strikeouts and 17 walks in 44.1 innings.
Ryan Russell, Siegel, Sr.: Russell, a Lincoln Memorial signee, went 7-1 with 81 strikeouts while keeping a .955 ERA. He batted .264 with eight home runs and 29 RBIs.
Chris Wirsing, Upperman, Jr.: Wirsing, a right-handed pitcher and infielder, batted .396 with 55 hits, nine doubles, one home run and 31 RBIs. He went 8-4 on the mound with 71 strikeouts and a 2.30 ERA in 67 innings.
