Who was the Nashville area’s top player this past TSSAA softball season?
The Tennessean has named its players of the year, but now you get to decide if we made the right choice by voting in our poll.
Pick your favorite selection below from our list of candidates, vote as many times as you want and make your voice heard. Voting will close at noon on June 28.
Audrey Cathey, Summit: The Missouri signee batted .517 avg with 46 hits, 56 runs, 10 doubles, seven triples, eight homers and 28 RBIs while guiding Summit to the 4A state tournament.

Ella Fruechemeyer, BGA: The second baseman hit .484 with 61 hits, 11 doubles, a triple, five home runs 61 runs scored and 43 RBIs. She also had six stolen bases and .942 fielding percentage.
Ava Lastovka, McEwen: The sophomore emerged as a star during her sophomore campaign with a 29-5 record and an ERA of 0.23. She struck out 451 batters and had five no-hitters, 14 shutouts and also batted .415 with seven home runs and 48 RBIs.
Millie Pardue, Franklin Road Academy: Pardue guided FRA to a 21-6 record and was 17-5 in the pitcher's circle. The Middle Tennessee State commit dominated with a .075 ERA and struck out 312 batters in 130 innings pitched.
Annie Prince, Community: Prince guided Community to the program's first state championship win, capturing the title in Class 2A. She pitched a complete-game, five-hitter with 15 strikeouts. In 143 innings this season, she had a 20-2 record, 1.42 ERA and 256 strikeouts.
Kloe Quigle, Stewarts Creek: Quigle was dominant on a state championship team and was among Middle Tennessee's best infielders with a .640 batting average, 20 doubles, six triples, 17 homers, 63 RBIs, 71 runs scored and 30 stolen bases.
Samya Sandifer, Stewarts Creek: Sandifer was 17-1 in the pitcher's circle with a 1.14 ERA and 163 strikeouts in 129.1 innings, including a five-inning shutout win over Maryville in the TSSAA softball state championship for Class 4A in May. She also hit .546 with 16 doubles, 12 homers and 58 RBIs and was named The Daily New Journal's 2026 Softball Player of the Year.
Avary Stockwell, Green Hill: The Tennessee signee and third baseman, was a force at the plate, batting .548 with 46 hits, 13 singles, 10 doubles, three triples, 20 home runs, 78 RBIs and 59 runs scored. She did all of that despite being walked 53 times. She led Green Hill to the Class 4A sectionals and the team finished 46-3.
Mackenzie Ventura, Riverdale: The FIU signee had a 1.14 ERA with 252 strikeouts for Riverdale. She had a 18-1 record in 153.1 innings while also hitting .348 and 24 RBIs.
Kaylor West, Liberty Creek: The Western Kentucky signee led Liberty Creek back to the state tournament as the program moved up to Class 3A after capturing the 2A crown in 2025. In 100 innings pitched, West struck out 156 batters with a 1.25 ERA as the Lady Wolves finished 24-9, losing to eventual state champion Alcoa at state.
Chezney Whipker, Green Hill: Whipker played both second and third base for the Lady Hawks and was named District 7-4A MVP and district tournament MVP. The Western Kentucky signee batted .536 with 25 doubles, four triples, 19 home runs, 95 RBIs, 61 runs scored and hit four grand slams.
Chloe Younggren, Mt. Juliet: The North Alabama signee has been a standout at Mt. Juliet since her freshman year. For her senior year she batted .475 with 13 doubles, six triples, 12 home runs, 49 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.
