But why wouldn’t Monti just pick 1 of them?
Because you can trade down, get a first round pick next year, and still get one of them x amount of picks later. You use 2 first round picks next year as leverage to get your next QBOTF in a draft that looks like there will be a slew of QB1 options.

I don't think this is a great draft overall. Certainly not as good at the top as last year's was. I am not feeling we are in a good position for a trade down.

If by some chance the Cards can trade out, do it and take Freeling the OT out of Georgia later who frankly might be the best RT in the draft, but then again, he might not be available because NFL teams might see that too

I personally disagree (in that I feel those drawbacks are being blown out of proportion), but they are out there.
Classic draft posturing. "You dont want that kid. Yeah, hes terrible. Just dont take him before our pick."

He may just do that. It appears to me he has set himself up to trade down and get 2 top 20 players if we were to trade with Dallas.
It’s all hypothetical. I can guarantee if we take any one of the 5 mention there are going to be unhappy people on this board for a variety of reasons.

we're gonna trade the planet to move up for Mendoza, if that doesn’t work the Cardinals relocate back to St Louis. Who says no?

A trade down needs a trade partner though. Who's coming up and why?

That friend of mine(local radio guy) who was at the combine told me it was a done deal and discussed prevalently in Indy that Willis was going to be a Dolphin and Murray was going to be a Viking. Said everybody knew it.

Ha. Don’t we wish. There will be plenty of posters that will be bringing up his name over and over and over….

Yep. Whether he does good or bad. I wish everyone could just move on.

He isn’t a Cardinal anymore, was never my favorite player while he was here so I have zero interest in how he does in Minnesota.
