Yep. Whether he does good or bad. I wish everyone could just move on.

He isn’t a Cardinal anymore, was never my favorite player while he was here so I have zero interest in how he does in Minnesota.
Yeah, we can all wish that but it's not going to happen. It's not going to help when we put a flaming turd of a product out there this year.

Because you can trade down, get a first round pick next year, and still get one of them x amount of picks later. You use 2 first round picks next year as leverage to get your next QBOTF in a draft that looks like there will be a slew of QB1 options.
PAC, is trading down really that easy? From 2005-2020, only 44% became a probowler (Source: Sporting News). I wonder if it's one reason McVay doesn't value his 1st round picks as much as other guys. It seems he plays the number game to flood the new blood to see who will work out.

McVay may not value 1st round picks because the Rams are usually picking in the late 20’s. I only wish that 44% of our 1st rounders became pro-bowlers. Our hit percentage is probably half that lol. For the upcoming draft, I think that Love is the only player worth moving up to get, but the Chiefs & Saints no longer seem to be a threat to do that.

If we want him this is what's going to happen. He wont be available past the Jets at #16 or the Browns at #24 for the trade into the late 1st round crowd.

If MLF really thinks Simpson is the guy, don’t play around. Draft him at 3 and let him sit behind Brissett and Minshew to develop. Unless…. We can fake Titans out about a trade down to a team who needs an edge while Bailey is sitting there. Maybe we can pick up another day 3 piece.

Certainly diminished the chances, especially if the Jets take Reese.

The Rams realize that 1st round picks are overvalued by most GMs. The vast vast majority of 1st rounders are Zaven Collins level players or worse.

Agreed. It’s a reach but we’re not getting him in the 2nd round and it would take our 27’ 1st to move back up to the teens.

Rams also draft pretty well with the picks they actually make, their 2023 draft class didn't have a first rounder in it.

If Simpson is what LaFleur and staff honestly believe is a franchise QB for the offense they run, you take him as soon as possible. It's on them, they are the professionals. Personally, I really like Sawyer Robertson in the third but that is me and hopefully those in charge know a lot more. Will say this, I think there are a few franchise QBs in this draft, and it seems every year there are if they go to the right coach.

Selecting Simpson at 3 would absolutely align to the downward trajectory of this team under Monti.

Dylan Raiola has looked like the real deal in spring ball so far and a local reporter suggested Moore might hit the supplemental draft if hes not guaranteed to start. I am sure it is just content filler, but it will be interesting to watch this over the next few weeks.

In all reality this happens. 1st 2 go fast; let's get real here.

Moore crapped the bed deciding to return to school. Big time.

I doubt it would take the "27 first to move back up into round 1. Maybe if you're trying to get him at 10 but it likely would be in the twenties and that would take this year's #2 and a later round pick.

You understand that this is a message board.

The solution to having no hope at the QB position is to add some small hope.

Our top 2 QBs will be a combined 63 years old when training camp opens.

It takes some blinders to believe there’s nothing left in Trey Lance/JJ McCarthy/Zach Wilson/Anthony Richardson/Will Levis when this guy is the reigning Super Bowl champion:

Those guys are not small hopes. Those guys are players that their current teams don't even think anything of.

Zach Wilson is the third-string quarterback at Miami. There's absolutely no buzz out of any of the organizations that employ your list of "never have been" quarterbacks about them improving or being ready to start somewhere else. Trey Lance couldn't even pick up a backup gig somewhere else and had to be turned to the Chargers on a minimum deal.

San Darnold is not even a remotely a similar situation. He started for the Jets for a number of years, then they moved on from him via trade to the Panthers, where he also played. Then, when he hit free agency, he only played one year as a backup at the Niners before then starting for the Vikings and the Seahawks.

Both Zach Wilson and Trey Lance were dropped in short order by the teams that drafted them and cut well before their contract was up. And have now been backups for a number of seasons. They are what they are. There is no hope.

Yup but the 1-5 run at the end of 2012 was bad enough to get him banished from the NFL forever.

Brissett’s 1-11 run (2-15 going back to 2024!) is enough to make him the 2026 starting QB for the Arizona Cardinals.

I'm sure if JB also had 54% comp rate, 2/9 TD INT ratio, 37% success rate, 5.6 YPA, 3.8 ANY/A, 161 YPG and a 55 passer rating he'd also be banished from the NFL.

But he didn't, so that answers your question.

Moore isn't eligible for the supplemental draft.

Reminds you how?

These are some of the worst QB stats I've ever seen.

You are right, Skelton could win games! ;)

But seriously, that was why I said a more accurate for JB.
