He could have transferred? :)
lots of reasons why a kid would stay. I cant speak for Drew Allar, but when I was a kid I wanted nothing more than to play for Notre Dame...had I gained that chance, all thoughts of what came after would have been moot...I would have just been stoked that I was a starter for the Fighting Irish...and I would have stayed through anything.
you can verify that if you can locate the UCLA scout that worked central california in 1983....we had the discussion as to why UCLA had to wait for an answer.

Yes he does. No one is advocating spending a premium pick on him. The discussion has evolved (devolved) to whether or not he has any value as a QB prospect at all. An objectively idiotic question.
Oh, he's going to be drafted no doubt. Clayton Tune and John Skelton were drafted too. That confirms it, he'll be drafted by the Cardinals. Tony Sacca 2.0 :D

such a missed opportunity.
all you had to do was say, "well, Allar has great prototypical size and a decent cannon of an arm"

was that hard?
I think I did say that when I said he's big and has a strong arm. I just threw in the fact that's he's not very good at playing QB.

What are the top 8? Not watching over an hour of video to find out.

9.Carson Beck, Miami

8.Drew Allar, Penn State

7.Cade Klubnik, Clemson

6.Sawyer Robertson, Baylor

5.Luke GOATmyer, Illinois

4.Garrett Nussmeier, LSU

3.Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss

2.Ty Simpson, Alabama

1.Fernando Mendoza, Indiana
Since we have no shot at Mendoza, out of that list, Nussmeier might give you the best ROI.

I can't laugh hard enough at this one. Although it would be the most Cardinal thing ever to do, it ain't happening.

I think I would take a chance on Chambliss in the 2nd round.
He is such in interesting prospect and wanted another year to refine his skills. A 24 year old prospect is generally bad, but COVID seems to have slowed down the early part of his career and he is starting to figure it out. If he does well at the combine and individual workouts, I saw someone say she could sneak into the end of the 1st, beginning of second round.

Chambliss looks like Kyler 2.0. No way he is as tall as he is listed.
The guy next to him (52) is lists at 6'3" and Chambliss is listed at 6'1". He is a giant compared to Kyler. 75 behind him is listed at 6'5". He feels more like Bryce Young to me.
