Thanks for your faith in me! But, college sports are not my forte! Please check the facts (@daves)
bump.I swear the NCAA just flips a coin depending on the player in these situations. Moore, Simpson and Chambliss entering the draft makes it more fun whether we end up with one of them or not.
Like the Arizona CardinalsOf all the QB candidates, he might be the easiest to scout. His plusses and minuses are very well defined. He gets some comparison to Nix mostly because he’s essentially had college coaching for 7 years. He’s what is labeled a high floor, low ceiling guy. Those who shun Simpson because of few college starts, see Beck as the opposite.
The good stuff is he’s poised under pressure and willing to take a hit to make a play. He’s not a talented runner, but he’ll run to get a first down. He’s accurate on short and midrange throws. He uses progressions and is at least decent at sizing up matchups.
The negatives are he is not an accurate deep thrower. He has a strong arm, but is not a precision passer throwing deep. He throws line drives well, but does not have great touch. He sometimes throws short passes too hard. He can run for a short distance, but is not elusive. His rollout throws can be erratic.
Beck can start more quickly than other choices, maybe immediately, but he is not likely to become a top tier QB. He goes late one or two, likely to a team looking for a place holder.
Based on all those it seems 20 starts should be a bare minimumHere is a list of QB's in the NFL with number of starts in college - again, I can't vouch for the full accuracy.

6'5" & he can actually see over his center & Guards lolHey gang. What about Drew Allar in the 4th? All I keep hearing is what a great prospect he was and his coach was a Qb killer.
Big boy. Big arm.
Just asking.
Beck sucks badly. If he ends up in the NFL, it won’t be as a starter.Carson Beck is interesting.
He just turned 23 in November even though he has been in college for 6 years and has 41 starts (36-5)
He is a 2 time Natl Champion (in championship game again this year). He got injured in SEC championship in 2024 otherwise he would declared for draft last year.
~70% completion % in college
Did it against big time competition and on big stages

ESPN had a report that Oregon offered Ty Simpson a ton of money before he declared. He wouldn't visit if Moore were coming back.

Absolutely. People crying that Kyler doesn't have any support would shudder at the reality that is the Charger's pass pro.Herbert is now 0–3 in the playoffs and already on his 3rd head coach. That’s usually when franchises start looking to make a change.. If the Chargers ever make a move at QB, the Cardinals should be first in line. Forget the playoff narrative, Herbert instantly raises the floor of this team.

Sorry. Herbert seems like a nice guy and all but the kid loses, plain and simple.Herbert is now 0–3 in the playoffs and already on his 3rd head coach. I am old enough to remember Peyton Manning being criticized for not winning.Sorry. Herbert seems like a nice guy and all but the kid loses, plain and simple.
