The most important off-season move the Cards can make is to cut Holt.

I hope he's the first to go.

Bert Berry.

I'd have agreed with you not too long ago. But, we are so thin in the pass rush department, that I think he will be given the opportunity to take a pay cut instead of being cut outright.

Holt, Berry, Shipp, Urban, Bienneman, and as much as I hate to say it I don't think Edge is back next year. Hate to lose a back to back 1,100+ yard rusher, especially with no viable backup.

If Edge is cut, I can not see Shipp getting cut. He is a great ST's tackler and is a nice short yardage back when he has been called upon the last 2 years..

Shipp is my favorite Card. Always got screwed over kept his mouth shut and worked hard. May not have always produced but he's a worker. Hope he stays. Somewhere right now K9's face is boiling red with frustration!

Holt, Rackers, Berry, Ross, Berger, & Urban.

That is also in priority. Holt must be shot out of a cannon through the front door without anyone opening it first. Then he must have his contract docked for breaking our door.

I just never want to look at Neil rackers again. I hope he just fades away.

None.

You don't cut any of these players above. Yes, Holt SUCKS as a starter on this team, but at least he has seen gametime. Stick his ass on the bench to come in if we have injuries in the secondary like we've had this year.

All of these players that people have suggested be cut, should be restructured instead. Don't want to restructure? Then we can possibly talk about cutting.

I totally agree with you that we shouldn't cut guys, but I think that Terrance Holt is due a pretty big roster bonus at the beginning of FA, $2 million according to Joeshmo (http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/showpost.php?p=1586263&postcount=14). He doesn't say when it becomes active, but there's no reason to pay out that money if it comes due March 1 (or whenever).

Cut Holt, Ross, Shipp, JJ.

Restructure Berry or release him.

Must redo Fitz.

Cut Holt twice just to make sure.

Holt will get cut...the Cards won't pay him 3.5m this year.

Cutting Berry would save 3m.

Rackers won't get cut...they paid him too much up front.

Oliver Ross will be cut...should have happened already.

James got 20m for two years...I would keep him and draft his eventual replacement.

Shipp is the one to go. 500k signing bonus is easy to absorb.

Fitz must restructure...Warner too.

Warner earned every penny of his contract this year.

I thought our lack of depth on the OL was already exposed this season. Oliver Ross may be a liability as a starter, but until Reggie Wells is pushed into a backup role, he's the best OL backup we have. He restructured his contract last season, and if he'd stayed healthy, he may have made some of that money back after Levi got injured. We should seek to restructure him again. There's no reason to cut ties with him before we have to. Same with Berry.

and maybe k Neil Rackers.

That's 15 players and the real total is likely to be higher. 8-8 teams don't get better by keeping injury-prone players, ageing declining performance players or marginally productive players.
