AZ Cardinals Mortgage Guy
Which, if any do you think belongs in? Vote for as many as you like
Axed.My bad, Warner is already in. I'm not sure how to edit him out of the pole, so axe that choice please
There was talk about this on Arizona Sports Radio today.
That must have changed with AW, as much as I like him as a player, he has no chance of HOF
The Tuck Rule in the endzone was the worst(and IIRC Dockett was the one with the sack). Here's the play as I remember it:During the game, the Cardinals sacked, forced a fumble, and recovered the ball THREE TIMES. THREE DAMN TIMES. Everyone was called back, including one the Cardinals recovered in the endzone. Two, count them two tuck rules, and a "his hand was going forward" when Romo's hand wasn't even up near his ear to throw the ball. Add in a pooch kick that the Cardinals clearly recovered, that was, yeah you guessed it, OVER TURNED.
I only voted for DD. Boldin is one of my all time favorites but he left too soon to be in the ring. LArry Centers was what, 3 years of high production? not enough IMO. If he had a more competant team, ownership and etc he may have been much bigger. I loved him as a kid but he doesnt hold the same weight as a guy like dockett to me. Dansby, no chance IMO.
Boudin played here 7 years... Thats a long damn time bro. Long enough to hold basically every Cardinal receiving record had there not been a guy named Larry playing here.
Adrian Wilson is one of only six players to have ever accumulated 25 sacks and 25 interceptions. That alone gets him in the HOF.That must have changed with AW, as much as I like him as a player, he has no chance of HOF
I liked the argument someone made that the player needs to be 'franchise changing'. That's a really high standard to use. Warner fits that. And Wilson. And Fitz. But I think that's it if you use that standard. I think that would rule out Dockett and even Campbell. Great Pro Bowl players. But Ring of Honor is even higher than that. It's close to Hall of Fame level. Then I thought, wait a second, isn't Roger Wehrli in the Ring of Honor? I don't remember him being life altering. Then I looked it up and oh...

So Wehrli was in the Hall of Fame, not to mention just about everybody on the list! Except for Tillman and the new guys and Marshall Goldberg, whoever that is. Looking at that list, it almost seems like Hall of Fame was their criteria all along.

Dansby wasn't here long enough.
Doc would be in but I think he was a little bit to nutty to get in. He doesn't exactly fit with the Cardinals mantra of "Do it with class"
Q wasn't here long enough either
Larry is the only one on the list that I think would have a chance.
Has anyone mentioned Michael Bidwill yet? I know he is the owner but clearly he deserves to be in.
Fair enough...and dont get me wrong. I love Q. I heard someone on the radio describe him as the offensive version of Doc. I think that is a perfect description. But the way he left probably keeps him out.Not really the sure Boldin being here long enough holds any weight he was here 7 years and was dominant.. He also would be the Cards leading WR in history if not for a stud named Larry!
He set many many NFL records while here. Multiple probowler.. etc... etc.. 5 out of 7 years over 1000 yards and two seasons over 100 catches etc...
Then you add into that the fact there are many players in the ring of honor that played here MUCH shorter and it really doesn't hold any water...

Some might say the same for Aeneas Williams.I don't know.
It think Adrian Wilson could make the "The Drew Bledsoe Room for the Very Good" but I do not know if he is H.O.F. material. Then again, the standard has dropped the last few years if you ask me. Andre Reed, Harry Carson, and Jerome Bettis have no business being in the HOF if you ask me.
Some might say the same for Aeneas Williams.
