Auburn Tigers Softball (24-21) set to take to the road in a midweek matchup against on the Troy Trojans (28-17) at the Troy Softball Complex in Troy, Alabama on Wednesday, Apr. 22.
After stealing one game in their road series in Gainesville, the Tigers dropped the series to Florida on Sunday. Now they are set face off against in-state opponent the Troy Trojans. A win could be a good boost of confidence and momentum into their weekend SEC series at home against Ole Miss.
This will be the third time this season Auburn softball matchups against Troy, with the Tigers winning the first two games. Their defense will have to be solid due to the bats of the Trojans, in those first two games Troy had a combined run count 11. Only lost by one run in the first game to the Tigers. For Auburn's batters this could be a game to get back into a rhythm, where they had a combined run count of 18 across the two games against Troy.
