The Auburn Tigers open the 2026 softball season on the road at North Florida on Thursday afternoon. If you are wondering how to watch the action live, you have come to the right place.
Year two of the Chris and Kate Malveaux era begins Thursday in Jacksonville, Florida, as Auburn softball faces North Florida, the projected champion of the ASun Conference, in an appetizer for the NFCA Leadoff Classic that begins Friday in Clearwater, Florida. The Tigers will face five quality squads over the weekend in Notre Dame, Michigan State, Clemson, Pittsburgh, and Penn State at the classic.
Co-head coach Chris Malveaux says he and the team are excited about opening the season after months of preparation.
“This season couldn't come soon enough," Malveaux said. "We've been at it since August. Throughout the fall, we just couldn’t wait to see these players get on the field and do their thing. It's going to be a fun group to watch. They're young, but they're going to be very exciting. We can't wait to see them out there competing against other teams.”
