How much 2026 salary cap space do the Jacksonville Jaguars have devoted to the defensive end position?
For this season, the league-wide salary cap was set at $301.2 million, and the Jaguars have $38.64 million invested in the defensive end position, according to Over the Cap.
Compared to the rest of the league, that is the ninth-largest cap figure at this position and accounts for almost 13% of the Jaguars' allotted salary cap space.
Editor's note: Arik Armstead is still classified as an edge rusher by OTC, so we removed his $19.385 million cap hit to arrive at the figure above.
Carrying the bulk of the Jaguars' total cap hit at defensive end is Josh Hines-Allen, whose cap hit for the 2026 season sits at $23.4 million. This is the second-most on the team and is the fourth-most among his position group across the NFL.
Travon Walker just received a big extension, but the cap charges are backloaded on this deal, which means he has modest cap hits of $9.411 million in 2026 and $15.5 million in 2027.
Walker's cap hit for this season ranks 31st among edge defenders.
Otherwise, this is a young position group for the Jaguars behind Hines-Allen and Walker. BJ Green and Danny Striggow are in Year 2 and were UDFAs last season, while Wesley Williams and Zach Durfee are Day 3 picks who are in Year 1 of their rookie deals.
Of this group, Williams has the largest 2026 cap hit at $1.170 million.
Also on the roster are 2026 UDFAs Quindarius Dunnigan and Bryan Thomas Jr. Both of their cap hits are below $1 million.
