How much 2026 salary cap space do the Jacksonville Jaguars have devoted to the tight end position?
For this season, the league-wide salary cap was set at $301.2 million, and the Jaguars have $12.407 million invested at tight end, according to Over the Cap.
Compared to the rest of the league, this ranks 23rd and accounts for 4.11% of the Jaguars' allocated salary cap space.
The Jaguars just signed Brenton Strange to a three-year extension, but his cap hit for the 2026 season remains relatively low.
This year was set to be the final year of Strange's rookie deal, which came with a minimal cap hit, and even with the extension included, Strange's cap hit increased by only $1.385 million for this season and sits at $3.329 million. That ranks 40th among tight ends in 2026.
Also, keeping the Jaguars' cost low is that Nate Boerkircher and Tanner Koziol are on rookie deals, coming with cap hits of $1.55 million and $1.004 million, respectively.
Quintin Morris signed a one-year deal for $2 million this offseason, while Hunter Long is entering the final year of his contract and has a cap hit of $2.757 million.
Patrick Herbert is on a minimum deal.
