What ever happened to Drew Henson?

JJ traded up something like a second round pick to reserve rights to this baseballer right? He washed out of that program and came to play football. It's been about 2 years right? He should be ready and I was suprised to see D sign Bledsoe. Then I see this today in ESPN's chat:

"Judd (TX): How many more years does Bledsoe have in him? When does Dallas start looking for the next-in-line?

Jeremy Green: (2:18 PM ET ) Depends on the protection. He can still throw it when he has time. The Dallas O-line is not very good right now, ie.. Bledsoe has struggled. He has 1-2 years left. Dallas needs to find a young QB this year - Romo and Henson are not the future. "

So anybody have any information or speculation as to why things haven't worked out for him?

Easy. He sucks. He's not a good football player.

Henson's time in baseball changed his throwing motion to almost 3/4. Dallas spent the offseason completely reworking his throwing motion and by most reports he was awful in preseason. Everyone said he's thinking instead of playing because he's changed his motion. Right now it appears he stayed out of football too long, at Michigan he was much more over the top in his delivery.

2 years for a young QB might seem too soon to give up, but Henson will be 26 in February and his preseason 12-27 135 yards 1 pick looked like regression, not improvement, from 64% in the preseason of 04 to 44% this year.

you can't argue with his physical talent but that sidearm motion really concerned Parcells and so far he's not adapted well.
