For the first time during phase three of offseason team activities (OTAs), Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh met with the media and dropped some interesting information.

One of the most important topics he discussed was quarterback Cam Ward and how his offseason recovery from a shoulder injury is going. Although it was pretty obvious from some of the videos released by the PR Department, Saleh verified that Ward was in good shape and feeling no ill effects from the injury.

From there, Saleh touched on numerous topics, including competitions and food. Here are some of the highlights.

No more seed oils

There has been a lot of talk about the Titans changing the culture around the organization, and that includes working with the nutrition staff to overhaul the foods prepared at the facility, including removing all seed oils.

While this is a somewhat controversial move, with differing opinions on the health benefits of this change, it sounds like the players don’t mind. This is something some athletes have already done on their own, and they report better recovery and less inflammation. Time will tell if it makes a noticeable difference.

Opening against the NY Jets

The Titans will open their season at home against the Jets. While many fans and outlets have framed this as a revenge game for Saleh, the coach says he doesn’t even think about it.

Jackson Slater

The Titans have an opening at right guard, and it’s clear that the second-year lineman is squarely in the mix to step into the position heading into the season. While he is sprinkling in some reps at center, he is primarily handling the right guard position.

A full preseason

Although it's subject to change, Robert Saleh said the starters will play in all three of the #Titans preseason games.

Unlike some coaches, Saleh expects to play his veterans in all three of the Titans' preseason games.

On Femi Oladejo

Another second-year player working hard during OTAs is edge Femi Oladejo, but the true growth likely won’t be seen until training camp. That is where Saleh expects the young pass rusher to take a step forward.
