No one's trading for him. Cutting him early actually does him a favor so that he has time to find a team.

He might even do it in the preseason, which doesn't count of course. I think he pops his cherry in week 3. Calling it now.

I've spent much of the last 2 years watching Miami play on Sunday Ticket when we're not playing and whole reason I watched them was they had 2 guys I wanted us to take, Waddle the WR but primarily Devon Achane. And you watch the number of long runs by Achane and the number of just one more guy to beat and he was gone runs by Achane it's just so crazy to see in the NFL where everyone is fast. Love is more like Taylor with the Colts because he's bigger than Achane but the same thing because of his explosiveness and then that extra gear he's always a threat to go the distance. DeMercado did it a few times including the famous lose the ball at the goalline run but we haven't seen explosion like Love on the Cards at RB in a long time.

I watch the clips of TC, and everyone looks slow to me.

LaFleur said today that Benson had a "little flare up in his left knee."

Hate to say it but he's done in Arizona they're going to try and trade him but if he's not 100% nobody is going to trade for him.

Such a weird thing unless it relates to his original surgery from when he was at Oregon in college, they clearly didn't diagnose his injury last year correctly because there's no way that injury should still be bothering him in August of 2026.

I’m not done with bensen, I think we will need him in the end, will take time to get better. Don’t gibe up 5 minutes before the miracle. We ran out of backs early last year.

I know it's fun to talk about and all that. But TC and pre-season games are pretty much meaningless when it comes to the regular season.

The Cards and every other team knows their starting lineup already.

TC and pre season games are good for the young guys and see who can play and who can't

I am interested to see if the pre snap operation that MLF has preached about is being executed. I think that is a takeaway from the preseason that you can have.

That has no bearing on the level of ridiculous that holds in comparing it to the NFL. Whether in jest or not.

I never compared it to the NFL. I compared it to my own abilities and Connor is doing the same. He is a high paid elite athlete and I would rather the coaches, upper management and Connon determine if he is done. We can discuss it amoung ourselves but why does it always have to be black and white (he's cooked or he's not). Let the season start to unfold. As a player, he's probably lost a step. As a leader, he's probably gained knowledge and more leadership. This team needs that.

I'll take the positive spin on it until I need to pivot. You can do what you want.

The Cardinals had 2 wins last season with Conner and then he went down with a season ending injury in game 3. They went 1-14 without him.

The thirty year wall is a thing in the NFL..everyone knows it. JC knows it...not many guys can be Frank Gore and play until they are pushing 40.
its a simple fact of the position...runningbacks have shorter careers because they lose a step or three right around 30.

Doesnt change the fact that JC seems to be a great guy and I respect the hell out of him for overcoming cancer and continuing to fight towards his goals in life.
But if you want your team to actually win some games..you want players gone when they can no longer make positive contributions on the field.

You don't know what sport he started in his 60's and improved on annually.

does it matter?? a professional losing a step after years of high level performance in no way whatsoever compares to an amateur starting anything totally fresh and learning as he goes.

if I started needle point tomorrow...I would be far better at it two months from now...thats just as true as the fact that JC has lost a step and needs to be cut.

OK, oaken1. How do you know he has "lost" a step? Because of his age? His injury? His runs? He just looks like it? A combination of some or all?
