Welp, Kuminga just got offered a lot of money. Where does he end up?

My issue with Kuminga is that he doesn't have a single above-average NBA skill right now. This is probably unfair but he reminds me of Josh Jackson, athletic as all hell, and if you squint, he does a lot of things that look good in a highlight video. But so far hasn't shown (and perhaps it could be argued that he hasn't had the chance to show) enough consistency for those highlights.

I think you're way off. Josh Jackson never had a 30 point performance in the playoffs.

Sure, but Jackson never had an opportunity to play in the playoffs. Jackson's regular season high is 36, Kuminga's is 34.

I took a look at their stats after posting and Kuminga shot it much better than I thought, but the rest of the counting stats look pretty similar.

But Jackson’s not in the league mostly because of his behavior off the court. If he was a marginally better player he probably would’ve stuck around a bit longer, but no one wants to put up with a knucklehead who is also trash.

I was really excited about Jackson... his disastrous career basically ended any appetite I have for "highly athletic college knucklehead but maybe millions of dollars and fame with get his head on straight!"

I don't know that Kuminga is a knucklehead, I have not heard anything of it... I just think he's not particularly good. If we could get him at a role player's price and with the notion that he'd be content with the role, I'd be thrilled of it.

I can't stand Josh Giddey, I know he had his best year last year and they see him as helping take ball handling pressure off Steph but the local media has been saying have we finally found our new Iggy and I just want to throw up. Aside from the off court stuff, which I still think Giddey got away with too easily, I just don't see his game fitting the Warriors because again he's ball dominant and he's not a good defender. yes he can rebound and pass(exceptional passer) and I see there the comp to Iggy but Iggy was one of the best defenders in the NBA, Giddey just isn't even close.

Aside from I don't believe the Bulls would make that deal, the other obvious concern is the problem Kuminga has playing with Butler and Draymond is he's not a consistent enough shooter, Giddey had his best year last year but still shot just under 38% from 3 being dared to shoot, he doesn't get to the FT line very much so you're basically playing a guy next to Butler and Draymond who's not going to fit.

Dunn maybe not as good as Kuminga, but he's a hell of a lot cheaper. We get Kuminga we have to see him take that next step. Why not just see what Dunn can do at least until the trade deadline?

Nor would I. But if we could swap Kuminga for O'Neale and Grayson I'd be okay with it. Not that I can think of a reason GS would make that deal without a lot of sweeteners we don't have or can't afford.

Yeah, I don't want either at the price tag, but if I had to choose, I'd take Kuminga over Green. Just so long as we're not pretending that Kuminga is a power forward.

I hope Green proves me wrong, but, statistically, he is a prime example the league throwing away money on players that bring nothing to the table outside of ball hoggery.

Durant could miss 70 games and the rockets might improve simply by removing Green from their roster.
