omg lol of course they don't say which team but $90 can't happen in phx - not when we don't even know what we have at power forward this year - not when we just shed those horrid aprons
Count on it and throw Dunn in too. It's what we are, it's what we do.omg lol of course they don't say which team but $90 can't happen in phx - not when we don't even know what we have at power forward this year - not when we just shed those horrid aprons
90/4 years is an average annual salary of $22.5M (guessing it starts at 20M + standard 8% raises).
I don't love the number of years, but it's pretty reasonable, especially with the yearly cap increases. Again, I've been anti-Kuminga but that's been assuming something like $30M a year.
Good grief. I certainly hope its the Kings. It's a player option for the 4th year, reportedly.
I'm not a fan. I think that's too much and the option being in his favor doesn't make it more attractive.
3 year or 4 year? (at work)Kuminga wants a guaranteed role on the Warriors which apparently they are unwilling to provide. And Phoenix would guarantee him more money than the Warriors, $70 million.

Kuminga prefers the longer-term offers presented by the Kings and Suns because he believes they signify a fresh start, a larger guaranteed role, a promised starting position and a greater level of respect and career control, shown in part through the player option, sources said. Phoenix's proposal is also nearly $70 million more guaranteed than the Warriors' offer.

Sources: Kuminga still declining Warriors' terms
Jonathan Kuminga's decision to continue to decline the Warriors' offer is due in large part to Golden State's insistence on having a team option for the second season and unwillingness to let him maintain the built-in no-trade clause, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com

gracias mainIt sounds like the Suns would guarantee Kuminga's contract for all 4 years with probably a player option.
Statistically there is nothing about him that says he should even be a starter. He’s not a good shooter, passer, rebounder, or defender.
I have no idea why our front office is so enamored with him.
You never know in these negotiations what is true and what isn't. Kuminga's agent could be floating this to gin up the bidding. Again. I don't mind giving up Royce, Grayson, and even Oso. It's not the players, it's the contract that would represent that bothers me.Gambo says Ryan Dunn isn't going anywhere and nothing new to report.

I'm thinking if the Suns are not able to trade for Kuminga, they have looked at other options for a starting power forward.
If anything, Brian Gregory is active so my guess, he must have explored other trades. Who might be an alternative?
Gregory doesn't seem that patient to me. It wouldn't surprise me to learn the Suns inquired about Kuminga and made an offer but I'd be disappointed to learn it was more than a take or leave it offer.
