Cohasset High's Tim Donovan has been voted the South Shore High School Male Athlete of the Week.
Donovan received more than 12,000 votes to earn the honor. The boys lacrosse standout keyed a pair of Div. 4 playoff wins for the Skippers. He had 2 goals and 2 assists in a 19-5 victory over Triton in the Round of 16 and then recorded his 200th career point while netting 4 goals and 2 assists in a 19-6 conquest of Bourne in the quarterfinals.

The junior was crowned the New England shot put champion after throwing 19.86 meters at Noble High in Berwick, Maine. He also finished second in the discus (55.83 meters).
The senior second baseman singled home the winning run in the eighth inning as the Wildcats rallied to beat top-seeded St. Mary's (Lynn), 6-5, in the Div. 2 state semifinals. Milton fell to King Philip, 4-1, in the championship game.
The senior finished fourth in the 400 meters (47.83 seconds) at the New England championships in Berwick, Maine.
The senior attack scored the winning goal with 23 seconds left as the Skippers beat Nantucket, 7-6, to win the Div. 4 state championship. He graduates as the program's No. 2 all-time scorer with more than 200 goals and 300 points.
The junior won at first singles to give the Dragons their lone team point in a 4-1 loss to No. 1 Westborough in the Div. 2 state final. Pierce beat Vikram Hiranandani, 6-4, 6-4.

The sophomore from Weymouth scored in overtime to beat five-time defending champion St. John's Prep, 11-10, in the Div. 1 semifinals and then had a hat trick in the state final as the Eagles edged Lincoln-Sudbury, 10-9, to claim the program's first crown since 2018.
The senior midfielder scored a first-half hat trick and was 12-3 at the faceoff X as the Sailors beat Dracut, 7-4, in the Div. 3 state final to repeat as champions. He also scored in a 12-8 semifinal win over Norwell.
The sophomore had a pair of top-10 finishes at the New England championships in Berwick, Maine. He was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (38.70 seconds) and eighth in the 110m hurdles
