Pembroke High's Kevin Leonard has been voted the South Shore High School Male Athlete of the Week.

Leonard received more than 26,000 votes to earn the honor. The track & field star won the Division 4 state title in the 110-meter hurdles (14.79 seconds) and ran on the second-place 4x100m relay team :)43.82) at Bridgewater State University.

Nicholas Askjaer, Cohasset boys track & field​


Askjaer was a double-winner the MIAA Meet of Champions at Merrimack College, capturing the shot put (61 feet 7 inches) and discus (187-1).

Tim Donovan, Cohasset boys lacrosse​


Donovan starred in a pair of Div. 4 playoff wins for the Skippers. He had 2 goals and 2 assists in a 19-5 victory over Triton in the Round of 16 and then recorded his 200th career point while netting 4 goals and 2 assists in a 19-6 conquest of Bourne in the quarterfinals.

Luke Geary, Scituate boys lacrosse​


Geary starred in a pair of Div. 3 playoff wins for the Sailors. He had a pair of goals in a 10-5 win over Pembroke in the Round of 16 and then had 4 assists in an 11-6 win over Shawsheen Valley Tech in the quarterfinals.

Teddy Glynn, Norwell boys lacrosse​


Glynn scored 10 goals across three Div. 3 playoff wins for the Clippers. He had 4 goals in a 22-2 win over St. John Paul II in the Round of 32, added 3 goals and 2 assists in an 18-11 win over Dover-Sherborn in the Round of 16, and netted a hat trick in a 7-5 victory over Weston in the quarterfinals.

Cole Hendrickson, Hanover baseball​


Hendrickson starred in three Div. 3 playoff wins for the Hawks. He had an RBI in a 5-0 win over Tri-County in the Round of 32, got the victory on the mound (10 strikeouts, 3 hits, 3 walks) in a 9-1 win over Greater Lowell Tech in the Round of 16, and then had 4 RBIs in a 9-0 win over Pittsfield in the quarterfinals.

Ryan Kelly, Milton baseball​


Kelly pitched a complete game to beat Billerica, 3-2, in the Div. 2 quarterfinals, allowing 7 hits and 1 earned run with 7 strikeouts.

Greg McGrath, BC High track & field​


McGrath won the 2-mile in 9:12.92 at the MIAA Meet of Champions at Merrimack College. He also ran on the second-place 4x800m relay team (7:47.87).

Alex Otero, Norwell baseball​


Otero had a tiebreaking RBI double in the sixth inning to beat Gloucester, 4-3, in the Div. 3 Round of 16.

Jonah Stephens Roye, Milton boys track & field​


Stephens Roye had a pair of top-10 finishes at the MIAA Meet of Champions at Merrimack College, placing second in the 400-meter hurdles :)54.64) and 10th in the 110m hurdles :)14.79).
