The third round of the U.S. Open tees off on Saturday, June 20 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. The course, on Long Island, New York, is known for unpredictable weather, which makes the tournament extra exciting.

This year's competition has been plagued with inclement weather. The first round was delayed on Thursday, June 18 due to heavy fog.

Wyndham Clark has a four-stroke lead after the second round was completed on Friday, June 19. Four recent U.S. Open champions were among those who missed the cut: Brooks Koepka (2017, 2018), John Rahm (2021), Bryson DeChambeau (2024) and J.J. Spaun (2025). Viktor Hovland, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Reed were also sent home early.

This is the sixth time the U.S. Open is being played Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. The William Flynn-designed course is meant to incorporate natural elements. The tournament was also played there in 1896, 1986, 1995, 2004, and 2018 when Koepka won his second consecutive U.S. Open title.

The first tee times on Saturday are at 9 a.m. ET.
