Diyar Nurgozhay added a very tough Bruno Lopes to his sizzle reel with a nasty finish at UFC Fight Night 284.
Nurgozhay (12-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) dropped Lopes (14-4 MMA, 1-3 UFC) multiple times before a final combination floored his foe for good and forced the referee to step it at the 4:59 mark of Round 1 on Saturday at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
It was a big win for Nurgozhay in the light heavyweight bout, and you can watch the replay below (via X):
After starting his UFC tenure with consecutive losses, Nurgozhay has now rattled off two-straight wins, and claims this is the true showcase of his best form.
"I appreciate all the people that come to support," Nurgozhay told Daniel Cormier through an interpreter in his post-fight interview. "I belong to the UFC. Don't look at my first fights. There were many things and circumstances that happened. Now I'm here. I'm ready to work. It's my job."
