If the Rams truly believe hes the guy to replace thier current HOF QB at 13, then taking him at 3 is not that much of a gamble.
Are we supposed to draft based on which players other teams like?

I mean, I agree with the concept...it's a QB...if he is worth 13 then ya might as well draft him at 3...10 slots to ensure you don't miss out on your guy is more "Insurance" to me than "Gamble" or reach....

But we gotta like the kid first....and a 24 year old rookie that spent nearly all his college career locked on the bench because he couldn't beat out some really crap quarterbacks leaves a lot to be desired

Right??

The exact same guys that hated on JG for coaching scared...are now encouraging Monti to GM scared.

We should probably draft all the DT'S too so the Rams don't get another Aaron Donald
There's a difference between drafting scared and drafting stupid.
Taking Simpson at 3 is stupid.

Like in hold 'em you might hit your card but it was a stupid play.
And an extremely high % of the time the stupid is the result.

We're supposed to trust ML. If he likes the QB and it's known the Rams are locked in to take him, then it take him and I'm ok with that. That is all I'm saying.

I watched 2 or 3 of his games and I came away thinking Alabama has a quarterback problem.

The hype around this guy makes zero sense to me.
They’ve had one for years.

Milroe and now Simpson.

Milroe is a project that probably won’t pay off and Simpson is also a project.

MO has yet to prove he knows what QB talent in the NFL looks like. His QB drafting, and QB FAs have all been horrible.

Not good at all...arm length aint bad for his height...but I am notoriously known for having smaller hands and short stubby fingers...and my hands are 9.5"
gotta wonder how well he will grip the ball when these pro edges start swiping at him from behind.

maybe he is the second coming of Dave Kreig

Heard a few days ago the Cowboys were offering their 12th & 20th plus a 2027 third for the Cards’ 3rd pick. I disregarded it but if the Cards wanted Simpson it might make sense.
thats not a bad offer...considering the talent level and where the strength is in this draft.... that 2027 3rd pulls a lot of weight if we end up trading up next year for a QB... but with 12 and 20, we could get help for both lines..or QB as you say...
with 34 already in play we could add a lot of talent.
hell, if we take that cleveland deal for Marvin....we could have 3 first round picks...plus pick 34, and an extra third this year and next.
That would be some crazy wheeling and dealing

I wouldn’t give up a shot to draft Mendoza, Bailey, Reese, Bain, Mauigoa or Love (maybe Styles too) to draft a S or secondary OL
You can always move back up with the #20 if you felt really strongly about one of them...

Mathew Barry reporting we giving Willis 30 per….if we trade down how about fano at 12 and the Penn state guard at 20? Blow people off the ball…then go edge at 34 and running back at 65
