It seems almost impossible to fathom that AAA baseball will not be in Tucson next summer and that a team which was at one point the second most powerful "professional team" in Arizona is now gone to the "Greener Pastures" of Reno, Nevada.

I can see that everyone has rushed to share their stories. Baseball in Tucson still means that you have to actually be in Tucson.

I have fond memories of Toros games when I was a kid. I was not pleased when they morphed into the Sidewinders and moved out of Hi Corbett Field. Used to go every week to see the Toros. Some great rivalries with Albuquerque and El Paso back in the mid 80's.

And this sort of silliness is why every non UA team in Tucson has failed
