it's the product on the field and where the field is located

i don't mind supporting a struggling team but damn - you shouldn't come away with a sunburn and ptsd

bidwill is an idiot - there should be shaded parking around the stadium for the hard-core to tailgate properly and safely

he coulda put solar panels that power the roof or field - he coulda went cheap and artsy but he's left the fanbase out in the valley sun on the hot asphalt for decades - **** him

and i'm supposed to drive my ass way out to the west side and back afterward - a long drive home gets alot longer when you just lost by 20+

hey i got a great idea let's raise season ticket prices again because we can't sell enough general admission - while we're at it let's make rich tourists more important the season ticket holders

the arizona cardinals are the fast food of the nfl - charging restaurant prices for an inferior burger - and it's way the funk out in glendale - yay - let me get my keys

it's not us it's them - suns sell out all the damn time and play 70 more games per season - they also give a damn about fans and are centrally located but hey - what do they know

all of this robs players like trey mcbride of having a true home stadium experience which is incredibly sad - instead of flowers we give him opposing fans because hey - mikey just raised the ticket prices again and i can recoup a few hundo if i sell them to some ram fam

We didn't have enough bad stories this off season so thanks Trey. McBride is going to play hard no matter what and one of the few reasons to take up a whole day, devote the time and treasure to go to games in person. That said, anyone forking over money for season tickets at this point is taking a ridiculous and completely unjustifiable risk that there will be any pay off, other that seeing the opposing teams fans have a really great time. To have Trey piss on the people that make that leap of faith anyway, just absolutely sucks.

Yeah no. It was a stupid thing to say and you putting your own spin on it doesn't change what he said.

Hold him to the same standard as we held Murray to. Stop putting your own wishes, thoughts, and prayers on their words.
The original post here included just a couple seconds snip of a clip from an hour plus long podcast.

Before that clip, Trey was talking with one of the hosts who grew up in Arizona and is a huge Cardinal fan. The host initially brought up that growing up in Arizona he didn't remember many people wearing Cardinals hats until they made the Super Bowl. Then the host said that a couple of years after the Super Bowl appearance, the Cardinals hats pretty much disappeared like a puff of fairy dust. That is where Trey made this remark and started to talk about the Transplant nature of Arizona and how most people who move to Arizona keep their old loyalties.

It was a response to a comment from the host about the transplant nature of Arizona. Not an attack at your fandom.

It is okay for someone you really like to say something stupid, and you just say, "Yeah, that was stupid of him to say." Much easier than the verbal gymnastics you've gone through in this thread. SMH.

Clearly McBride overestimated Cardinals fans ability to understand Hyperbole. Hopefully he has learned his lesson.

I am a transplant. I have also been a Cardinals' fan from the day they announced the team was coming here. Not everyone fits into the little boxes Trey has created for his own way of thinking.

I bet Kyler would fit into those little boxes

The Cardinals are 19–49 since Trey got here in 2022. 3 different coaching staffs, zero playoff appearances.

Can't blame him for having this viewpoint - fans haven't had a reason to show up in a long time.
We’re so amazingly lousy that my initial reaction to this post was “We’ve *won* 19 games the past five years? Awesome!”

I could see McBride asking for a trade after the season when we inevitably suck. You dont say things like this if you're not contemplating change.
A player requesting a trade the year after his extension kicks in would be a new low.

Well, what he said was pretty dumb and taking him to task on it shouldn’t be an issue
Exactly, and this is a symptom of him living in the PV/Scottsdale bubble these dudes live in.

They are so insulted from the general public they just say things that will never be called out.

Let some player in Philly, Denver, or Kansas City say something like this and they might get shot out of a cannon.

Here we have fans trying to spin and run cover for them.

Ehhhhh, I'm gonna disagree with this and say it depends on the franchise. The apathy discrepancies is what makes the difference. Even though some teams can't win to save their life, fans still are invested. There really are two levels of Cards fans. Thise who are in no matter what, and those that are in ONLY when we're good. Which is hardly ever unfortunately, thus the general indifference. There was a time when State Farm was among the loudest stadiums in the league. Guess when that was? When we were good.
Please name the teams that consistently lose that have loyal fanbases that sell out games regularly.

did you guys know human babies produce a hormone when they are held that motivates the holder to protect the child??
whats worse, when nursing they produce an additional pheromone that stimulates love. Human babies being born so helpless, they adopted a couple chemical methods to help themselves survive.
Its pretty fascinating stuff...there are probably links out there if anyone cares to look for them...

but the point is simple....you cant even trust your mothers love. because it is a chemically induced state of delirium...she is a hostage to hormones and pheromones she cannot control.
and if you cant trust your mommas love what makes you think the love from anyone else is true?

The arizona fan base suxx roxx.
Makes sense when you consider the Arizona Cardinals suck the same roxx... like produces like.

are there good Arizona Cardinals fans?? Sure, of course there are.
But there are also white buffaloes...two headed snakes, and three legged chickens. There is even a two headed chick on the internet.

But even here, where there is the highest concentration of die hard Arizona Cardinals fans, there are clear signs of chemical dependency.
But as a fan. I might suggest Trey adjust his perspective and devote himself to working towards changing that truth he so evidently feels.

It's the touchy feely world of today. I grew up different in Brooklyn. If your feelings got hurt it's because you let them get hurt.

Trey couldn't say anything that would hurt my feelings, hell I probably only have one anyway and it for my family.
