South Dakota's high school track and field season concluded with the state meet May 28-30 so we thought it'd be a good idea to highlight track athletes in the latest Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News Athlete of the Week poll.
We've picked 10 Watertown and Aberdeen area standouts who turned in top performances in the three-day state meet.
Now it's your turn. You get to decide the winner. Voting will remain open until midnight on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

March 23-29: Bentley Bauer, Mobridge-Pollock girls track.
March 30-April 5: Aubrey Lanners, Deuel softball.
April 6-12: Brady Allen, Milbank baseball.
April 13-19: Olivia Braun, Aberdeen Central girls golf.
April 20-26: Mackenzie Wegehaupt, Aberdeen Roncalli girls golf.
April 27-May 3: Claire Horn, Castlewood softball.
May 4-10: Korbin Stark, Faulkton Area boys track and field.
May 11-17: Logan Schell, Watertown softball.
May 18-25: Aberdeen Roncalli girls golf (Team of the Week)
