It's another Monday and that means it's time for another Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News Athlete of the Week poll.
The South Dakota high school spring athletic season is technically over but we've added a poll this week to honor 10 area cowboys and cowgirls who won events in go-rounds the past two weekend at East Region High School Rodeos at Huron and Watertown.
Now, it's in your hands to decide who this week's winner is. Voting will continue until midnight on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Congratulations are in order Sioux Valley softball player McKinley Schwab for winning the Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News Athlete of the Week poll for June 1-7.
March 23-29: Bentley Bauer, Mobridge-Pollock girls track.
March 30-April 5: Aubrey Lanners, Deuel softball.
April 6-12: Brady Allen, Milbank baseball.
April 13-19: Olivia Braun, Aberdeen Central girls golf.
April 20-26: Mackenzie Wegehaupt, Aberdeen Roncalli girls golf.
April 27-May 3: Claire Horn, Castlewood softball.
May 4-10: Korbin Stark, Faulkton Area boys track and field.
May 11-17: Logan Schell, Watertown softball.
May 18-24: Castlewood softball (Team of the Week).
May 25-31: Hadlee Holt, Iroquois-Lake Preston track.
June 1-7: McKinley Schwab, Sioux Valley softball.
