Trade Murray to Minny for McCarthy and some picks swapped. It seems neither want their QB. Maybe ML can get something out of JJ.
Gross. I’d rather start Brissett

But what does it say that just a year later with fewer than a full year of starts they’d be willing to let him go? Volumes imo.I'm not a big JJ fan either but at least you're getting a young guy that has played some and showed a couple flashes in limited time. The Vikes had to see something in him to let Darnold walk after leading them to the playoffs and a great record the previous year.
It says JJ = Rosen... especially if K1 replaces him after just 1 year starting. HahaBut what does it say that just a year later with fewer than a full year of starts they’d be willing to let him go? Volumes imo.
The thought had crossed my mind…It says JJ = Rosen... especially if K1 replaces him after just 1 year starting. Haha
New NFL year starts September 10th.

And you could! I think the idea is for real competition in camp and a young, high-variance alternative to when you confirm Brissett can’t take you where you need to go (8 wins).Gross. I’d rather start Brissett
What did they see in the field though? Nothing. He's a nice guy! Kedon Slovis is a laughable low bar and shouldn't even be included in this conversation. And you could! I think the idea is for real competition in camp and a young, high-variance alternative to when you confirm Brissett can’t take you where you need to go (8 wins).
Zack Wilson, Anthony Richardson, JJ McCarthy, and Trey Lance are very, very unlikely to be good. But I’d rather put a small bet on their upside than run with Brissett and Kedon Slovis, who has no NFL future.
He's a white QB from Michigan. In my mind, that's the only reason he was taken in the 1st round at all. What did they see in the field though? Nothing. He's a nice guy! He's a leader!
Yeah but he's a dumpster fire on the field. I saw nothing from him in college that made me think he has a future of more than a mid level NFL backup, and I'm being generous here. McCarthy has a long way to go to even approach Brissett level of play.
And yet here we are.Kedon Slovis is a laughable low bar and shouldn't even be included in this conversation.
I think the Cardinals are kind of pigeonholed in to taking a swing on a 2nd round or 3rd round guy unfortunately, someone who hasn't proven they suck at the NFL level like Wilson, Richardson, and Lance. And stay the hell away from Richardson, dude sucked in college.
AgreeA QB room of Brissett-Levis-Allar is significantly better than one of Brissett-Allar-Slovis.
Exactly this. You never know who’s going to pull a Sam Darnold. And you could! I think the idea is for real competition in camp and a young, high-variance alternative to when you confirm Brissett can’t take you where you need to go (8 wins).

I guess, I just have no faith any of those guys ever make it.And yet here we are.
IMO, Wilson, Richardson, Lance, Will Levis, and McCarthy are all significantly more likely (but still extremely unlikely) to become long-term NFL starters than a second-day draft pick in a weak qb class.
The good news is that signing one of those guys for $8 million doesn’t foreclose the ability to draft a prospect you like. A QB room of Brissett-Levis-Allar is significantly better than one of Brissett-Allar-Slovis.
It’s not close.
Meh. Darnold was a helluva good prospect coming out. Those listed guys were questionable prospects at best. Richardson was perhaps the biggest QB reach I've ever seen because he had so little experience and the experience he did have was pretty underwhelming.Exactly this. You never know who’s going to pull a Sam Darnold.
That’s fair because it’s probably right. But we all likely would’ve said similar about Danny dimes and Darnold before their respective resurgence. Heck some were even wary of darnold after his one year evolution with Minnesota.I guess, I just have no faith any of those guys ever make it.
Rumor has it Indy is considering paying Danny Dimes and has granted Richardson the right to seek a trade. And yet here we are.

If they’re paying Danny there’s no way they want Kyler’s contract.Rumor has it Indy is considering paying Danny Dimes and has granted Richardson the right to seek a trade.
So..... rather than paying Dimes fat money....Richardson and a 4th for Kyler and a 7th.
Richardson has some tools...there is a chance,..a slim one but a chance...that with the right coach something clicks and he gets it...
Worst case scenario Jacoby has a backup that runs like a squirrel at a lumberjack competition.
Danny Dimes did have SOME success with the Giants and they were mostly a Trainwreck during his time there. That’s fair because it’s probably right. But we all likely would’ve said similar about Danny dimes and Darnold before their respective resurgence. Heck some were even wary of darnold after his one year evolution with Minnesota.
Just say no to Richardson. Gawd no, Lawd no. Kyler is a lot better than Richardson and Kyler isn't very good. Please, why is anyone considering a guy who sucked in both college and the pros AND has extensive injury issues? And he's a quitter to boot.Rumor has it Indy is considering paying Danny Dimes and has granted Richardson the right to seek a trade.

Because first...he would be competing with brisket...Just say no to Richardson. Gawd no, Lawd no. Kyler is a lot better than Richardson and Kyler isn't very good. I don't think you bring on someone who has such a spotty history man. He literally has ten bad performances for every good one.Because first...he would be competing with brisket...
Second..it unloads kylers contract..
Third...he plays and continues to suck then we get a better pick to draft his replacement
Agree.I don't think you bring on someone who has such a spotty history man. He literally has ten bad performances for every good one.
He's not competing with anyone, he's competing to stay in the league at all at this point.
We're gonna be wary of Darnold next season, because he just lost the dude that kept him from going full Darnold in any game all year. That’s fair because it’s probably right. But we all likely would’ve said similar about Danny dimes and Darnold before their respective resurgence. Heck some were even wary of darnold after his one year
