Times Square will be lit up by more than just the usual bright lights of video billboards as three of boxing's biggest stars are set to compete on the first-ever boxing card held in the middle of the famed Midtown Manhattan section of New York City.
The event, dubbed "Fatal Fury," takes place Friday, May 2, and is headlined by the return of Ryan Garcia, who takes on former junior welterweight champion Rolando "Rolly" Romero. It'll be Garcia's first fight back from a one-year suspension after he testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
The co-main event features Devin Haney against former 140-pound champion Jose Ramirez. Wins by both Garcia and Haney could set up a rematch between the two. In April 2024, Garcia knocked down Haney to the canvas three times en route to a majority decision win, which was later overturned to a no contest following his positive drug test.
Ahead of fight night, here's what you need to know about the Times Square boxing event.
"Fatal Fury" will stream on DAZN with a pay-per-view price of $59.99.
DAZN coverage begins at 5 p.m. ET, with the fights slated to start at 6 p.m. ET.
As the main event, Garcia and Romero are expected to walk out to the ring at approximately 9 p.m. ET.
