I'm just glad they bailed out book. Thats what a good team does. Bail out their overpaid and over hyped superstars. :)
This would have been a really bad look for Book had they lost. He had some really bad turnovers down the stretch but then to get a technical in a tight game is losing composure. His team bailed him out. Hopefully, Book is not above learning something.

P.S. This team celebrating together reminds me that finals year with all the guys embracing each other and hamming it up.

Royce, with a 1 on 3 offensive board put back, immediately followed by Gillespie forcing the turnover on the inbound pass, tapped straight to Goodwin for a 3.

Within a couple seconds we went from down 8 with a live ball to down 3. The fight these guys show continues to blow me away.

Royce, Goodwin and Gillespie stole this win.

I can't believe the Lakers cut Goodwin.

This will be a huge deal moving forward imo. If he learns how to just be a solid contributor this team will be better off than if he's trying to be the book of old. Big lesson for him

, I trust Devin Booker doesn't mind that Anthony Edwards is better than him
It's not even that really...he just needs to understand he's a shell of his former self and learn to adapt to that change. It's what all the good players in this league need to do eventually with age and wear and tear. Some just do it better than others. We'll see how he handles it over the next couple years.

a team that believes is a dangerous team - we're damn near delusional

no quit - it might've taken oneale gillespie and goody but they pulled some reggie miller ish

i had already given up

ott has been leaning on this bench as much as the starters even in tight contests building confidence and oh boy were they ready - there were no all stars on the court when phoenix did the unthinkable

this team yall - devin booker is having a career year but we've all seen him struggle immensely scoring against the top tier yet last night we were buckle proof

we didn't double ant and he got 41

they did double book but we freakin won

can we sign collin gillespie please - he's not nash but he's damn good and getting better all the time - prove it guys love a chance to prove it

I can't tell if your being serious or what, but saying Devin is a shell of his former self is pretty laughable.

Doesn't look like the same player to me compared to even just a few years ago. It's more laughable to slobber all over a guy who can easily be treated like a superstar because of his contract but isn't because of some strange fascination about him for whatever other reasons. If Kobe played like Book at all in his career and all his trash games he would have deservedly been blasted by the media and fans. We and the media don't do that with him. It's very strange, our expectations, I guess.

Is it primarily coaching? Ott did this in Cleveland too. Our guard play has been outstanding.

Book, Grayson, Gillespie, and Goodwin have all been excellent,

and even Brea is killing it in the g-league.

I would love to get a pf, but then you would have to take minutes away from Brooks or Royce. I am not sure I would tinker at all with this roster right now.

best thing was how minnesota kept going after gillespie on offense - and how ott was fine with it - and how gillespie handled it - gobert even tried to pick a fight with him at one point lol

He’s having a career year this season… still early of course, but Book is scoring and putting up big time assist totals on a regular basis.

He is NOT anywhere close to all time greats… But, he is an elite scorer who has developed the ability to also get the rest of the team involved.
We can debate his contract all day long… but most of us are thankful he’s remained a Sun all these years and at JUST 29 years old, I hope we have him for another 7-8 years!

I know the stats are there. I get it. He also didn't show up in a big game like last night against a playoff team. It happens. Sometimes a lot with him. I don't mind having the guy and think he's a big plus to the team overall. I just can't understand why he doesn't get raked over the coals like he should when he lays absolute eggs like last night.. my biggest gripe is you can't have your cake and eat it too being paid like a superstar and he unfortunately he gets both for some reason. Should settle for nothing less as a fan of a franchise...no matter what sport.

With that said, I know griping and picking at the guy all the time isn't probably the most productive thing we can do, but there is most definitely a balance I believe. Alot like philly fans.. they have the passion, but no balance in that arena lol

Guessing this is the first time you've seen him this year. Because this was one of the worst games of his career, and yes, that is comparing last year as well.

As usual, Suns fans ready to jump off a cliff for little to no reason...

I think we need to adjust our expectations on his age here... I said last night I think we should realistically see him having a few years shaved off that 7-8 number. Honestly, if his game is halfway decent by the time he's 33 I'd be very surprised.

I've seen him a handful of times already this year and I've seen enough of book over three years to be able to effectively have a decent idea of how I think he plays.

Yesterday was bad, but IMO, it was just another one of his bad performances he's had in his career. He's had many clunkers. Comparing one trash game to other trash games doesn't get my attention enough to rate them individually.
