24 hours and 652 pages later I am finished reading it.
The book is easily her best written work. There is a flow to the story unlike any of the other books.
The book is definitely written more with teens and adults in mind. Much of the essence of childhood that Rowling captured in her first books is gone. It has been replaced by a more archtypical tale of youth assuming the mantle of adulthood.
*******************SPOILERS***************************
The rumors are true and a major character does indeed die. Halfway through the book, I had a pretty good idea who it would be. How it happened though, I would never have guessed.
