What is "excessive force" though. Who makes that determination? If the hit is legal the hit is legal as Gator says, that's fully on Dart. I can promise you that if the league starts saying " you hit the player TOO hard" I'm done with the game of Football. Defenses are already hampered enough with where on a player they are allowed to contact. I get offense sells, but it's FOOTBALL. Just give them flags and call it a day at that point.
Agree 100%!!!
We have already seen ******** unnecessary roughness for hitting a QB too hard when a guy gets a blindside run at him.
As a defender you dream about getting those shots.... guys be picking their chops to get that chance.
But you can only take that shot against some 4th round backup. Do it against Burrow, or a Brady, or Rodgers,...and you get the flag because you didn't slow down and politely lay him to the ground.

IMO, it's more about the unnecessarily leveling of a quarterback who was stepping out of bounds. I'd feel the same about a running back or wide receiver in the same position.

If they were staying inbounds and fighting for yards, then it's fair game.

I can understand your feelings though. It reminds me of this scene from one of the Naked Gun movies.

Hard disagree.
We have all seen a QB or RB surge for a couple more yards when the defender let's up.
That business decision is on the offensive player to make.
He could have gone out of bounds three yards sooner and avoided being hit entirely

There is a difference between hitting a player and plastering one when it is completely unnecessary.

It's not like the player wasn't heading out of bounds. Actually one of his feet may have been touching the line. It was a lot like a flagrant out of bounds hit.

The defensive player had a decision to make as well.

Miami moving on from Tua (most likely)
The Dolphins moved on from Tagovailoa this week and are prepared to move on from him this offseason, according to league sources.

Can I interest you in a slightly used Kyler Murray, Miami? Just...don't look at the Carfax report.

It's obvious that what he's doing is not working

The Oline has regressed and is reeling

He should be replaced along with the rest of them
I won't defend any of the coaches , but again today, the injuries. No team could be successful. Not only the amount of injuries, but guys that are needed for any kind of success.

This is only taken into account if you displayed competence when players were healthy
Also you kind of have to have good players. I’m not gonna get mad when Evan Brown nopes out on the season because the step down to whomever isn’t that great.

Let's do some realignment!

KC is moving further East, so put them in thr NFC East, move the Cowboys to the NFC West and we move to the AFC West. The Cowboys are now further West than the Chiefs!

Slightly joking, but the Cowboys in the East is ridiculous.

Kansas is on the west bank of the Missouri River.

Edit: Actually the Missouri River forms only a small part of the border between KC, Kansas and KC, Missouri. Most of the border is along State Line Road, which follows an almost straight line (intended to follow a meridian at 94° 36' 36" W longitude, but straying a bit as a result of 17th century surveying shortcomings).
